Places to stay in Winchendon

We had a wonderful stay! A home away from home. We felt comfortable, able to relax, and the home me tour needs. Greenfield and the surrounding areas have a lot to offer!

The place was perfect! Very quaint and homey. They had everything we needed. The massage chair was a nice plus and we really loved the google cast to watch our shows and videos. The pellet stove was fully supplied and was the cherry on top for a Vermont getaway. Could not recommend enough!

We stayed just one night. Upon arrival, a friendly gentleman greeted me, directed me to a safe parking spot, and pointed out the path to the suite. The suite was clean, cozy, and warm, with everything we needed for a comfortable evening. Anita was attentive, providing clear instructions and following up as needed. We truly enjoyed our stay—it was peaceful and private, allowing us to relax and catch up. I do have a couple of suggestions (not complaints). As an older guest, I found the seating options less than comfortable. The choices—wicker chairs, metal kitchen chairs, and a small, firm loveseat—weren't ideal for relaxing. A more comfortable seating arrangement would have been appreciated. Also, there is a large step down between the kitchen area and the rest of the space. While not an issue for everyone, it posed a challenge for us. Unfortunately, my friend forgot about the step during the night and fell on the way to the bathroom, but we would happily stay again.

Mary Anne was wonderful and very sweet. A beautiful little studio to spend the night in during my clinical rotations at the hospital near by. The area is nice, and the people are lovely.

I’m grateful that Peggy and Harry were willing to rent to us at the last minute. Our family needed a quiet respite to be together during a difficult time of loss. The solitude of the lake and woods was calming and we had plenty of room to be together. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Felt like we were staying at a friends house! We stayed for 2 nights for a trip that was based around going to Six Flags with my 13-year-old daughter and her best friend for April break. I am so glad I went with Andrew’s place and not a hotel room with two beds! The place is spacious, clean, updated, quiet and within walking distance to an area with so many options for shopping and dining. Overall it was a great experience!

The well named enchanted cottage was fabulous. We had a lovely stay, lucky with the weather. Easy reach of Boston on the train. Whole foods just down the road - I cooked in most evenings- as the kitchen had everything we needed. We sat out on the deck chairs and contemplated the Universe over a bottle of wine, watching the birds, squirrels and fall colours. We did a couple of day trips- Concord (loved the antique shops), the Nashoba Winery (get some of the Northern Comfort Apple, Cranberry and Maple Brandy…. Wish I’d bought two, it goes great with Mince Pies). We did the Union Oyster Bar in Boston and Legal Seafood (the oysters were amazing). I would highly recommend The Enchanted Cottage (very comfy beds).

5 stars across the board! I cannot imagine a better place to call home for a week while visiting Walpole for a group event. The bed was comfy and there were plenty of chargers. Plus our host was friendly and accommodating, definitely a super experience!

The space was clean, the decor was subtle with nice touches, provided a lot of information about the area, the air bnb, and instructions for check in and check out. Honestly it was a 10/10
