Vacation rentals in Townsend

We could not have found a better place to stay while having renovations done at our own home. We packed up our gaggle of golden retrievers and one beagle and felt welcomed the moment we stepped into the house. There were treats for the dogs, blankets to put on the couch, verrrry comfortable twin-sized memory foam dog beds and endless amounts of toys for our pups to enjoy. There was also a treat station as well as lickit mats and doggie painting to keep these retrievers happy and busy. This house is so dog friendly. It’s a perfect balance of a beautiful home for the humans that is also perfect for the dogs. The furniture was comfortable, the kitchen large and well-stocked with necessities, such as paper towels, dish soap, dishes, pots and pans and that stove…. Beautiful! The bed was very comfortable and cozy. If the dogs hadn’t wanted to get up so early, we may have slept part of the day away. Having the availability to do laundry was also very helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Frank went above and beyond to communicate check-in instructions, rules of the Air BnB, had all the thoughtful amenities for a slumbo! Definitely an ideal location for nicer weather with the location! Unfortunately the weather hindered the ability to fully enjoy this experience with the water so close! Would book again with better weather!!!

Really liked the ocation right on the water and great size for us (two adults and 2 kids under 10). It was a quick trip and didnt spend as much time in Tyler's place as we wanted (since we were diving around a bunch visiting family and friends). But would certainly stay again next time we visit the area.

We had an absolute blast on our girls getaway weekend!! The cottage and community were amazing, exactly what we were hoping for and Doug couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. He was always available by text or phone. The cottage was clean, nicely equipped, and a great location!! We will definitely be renting this cottage again on our next trip!!! Thanks for having us... we loved every minute!! 🧙🧙🧙

Great little spot in the woods. We jetted up to NH on short notice for a quick ski trip. My wife being from the area, we wanted to be close enough to the mountain but without any crowds. That’s exactly what we got. Check in was breeze, house is clean with plenty of room for our family of 4. The kitchen is well stocked! We had a ton of snow on the ground which provided amazing views of the woods behind the property. The kids loved playing in the snow down the hill in the back yard. We hope to come back this summer to see this beautiful property in another season.

Great place to stay! It felt like home. Our boys enjoyed the book selection & board games. Everything is in walking distance & truly grateful our dog was able to join us. We were in town for a soccer tournament so we weren’t able to see everything that was around but enjoyed the recommendations. We had dinner at the barn & picked up coffee and chocolates the next morning at Godiva and explored the river walk.

I’m grateful that Peggy and Harry were willing to rent to us at the last minute. Our family needed a quiet respite to be together during a difficult time of loss. The solitude of the lake and woods was calming and we had plenty of room to be together. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Location! Location! Location! Immaculate inside and out, we had the best time ( even though it rained all weekend)! Just feet away from the river..canoeing was fun! Plenty of hiking in the area. We felt right at home. The host supplied wood for the woodstove/firepit and a large cooler with ice! Beds were comfy...very private and peaceful. The open air toilet was great too Celie is very responsive and thoughtful...we are already planning another stay..Thanks!

This Airbnb is beautiful, cozy, and just as advertised! Hopefully we can stay again soon. Derek was wonderful and communicated everything clearly. Best stay so far.
