Vacation rentals in Sunapee Mountain

We could not have found a better place to stay while having renovations done at our own home. We packed up our gaggle of golden retrievers and one beagle and felt welcomed the moment we stepped into the house. There were treats for the dogs, blankets to put on the couch, verrrry comfortable twin-sized memory foam dog beds and endless amounts of toys for our pups to enjoy. There was also a treat station as well as lickit mats and doggie painting to keep these retrievers happy and busy. This house is so dog friendly. It’s a perfect balance of a beautiful home for the humans that is also perfect for the dogs. The furniture was comfortable, the kitchen large and well-stocked with necessities, such as paper towels, dish soap, dishes, pots and pans and that stove…. Beautiful! The bed was very comfortable and cozy. If the dogs hadn’t wanted to get up so early, we may have slept part of the day away. Having the availability to do laundry was also very helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay!

My husband and I had a very relaxing weekend away. The cabin was cozy, especially the beds and seating by the fireplace. Alecia made us feel welcome and comfortable with all the features of the house. She was very responsive and paid a lot of attention to detail. While visiting the cabin I was able to go for a long run (plenty of hills!) and eat at some delicious local restaurants. We look forward to an opportunity when we can come back.

I visited Thatcher and Lisa's place for a few days in February with 5 friends. It was an incredible experience overall. The home was a perfect peaceful getaway, with awesome amenities like multiple private rooms, a well-stocked kitchen, hot tub, and games. It is also very nicely located, providing a peaceful rural setting while also having great access to nearby areas like Woodstock, Hanover, and Killington (where we spent ~3 days skiing). Additionally, Lisa and Thatcher really went above and beyond as hosts. They left very clear instructions and recommendations, made sure that we arrived smoothly in the face of inclement weather, and even shipped home an item we left behind. I definitely recommend staying here for your next Vermont adventure!

Had a wonderful time at Jennifer's log cabin! There was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. Jennifer was easy to communicate with as well! Entered into a large open space with stone hearth and wood stove. The cabin was very clean and tidy. The kitchen had tons of space and was well stocked with cooking tools. I enjoy cooking when I vacation! We also enjoyed the outdoor firepit and the hot tub was an added bonus! The location is quiet and private with a nice view of the mountains and river. Also fenced in for those with little ones. It is also close to local attractions. I would recommend Jennifer's log cabin to anyone looking to just get away.

Barbara's place is a real gem. So clean, with a beautiful mix of antique and woodsy modern furniture, and a wonderfully comfortable living area overlooking a meandering brook which a few hundred yards down the road leads to the lake. The kitchen was well-equipped and modern, and beddings and beds were very comfortable. While the house was close too a busy road, we didn't hear a thing, and for summer users the deck is completely away from the road, overlooking the brook. Even more than we expected.

If you are looking for an idyllic lake house experience, this is it! We could have spent our entire trip just sitting on the porches—upstairs, downstairs, one screened-in porch, and the lovely dock. We used the kayaks and the paddle boat multiple times. The house was perfect for us because we are a close family of three, but if you need privacy from other guests, this wouldn’t be the ideal house as one bedroom opens into the other. The beds are soft and comfortable as is the sofa. Paula and Tim were extremely responsive and helpful. We would absolutely return to this house. It was difficult to leave the gorgeous leaves.

The Best palace

Great location close to Ragged Mountain for winter sports. Comfortable home, lots of beds for kids (wish the homes we had stayed in when our kids were little were as well stocked with toys and a fun toddler bed!) Also loved that the pantry was stocked-we unexpectedly got to have fresh baked muffins with breakfast.

Phil’s place was a great choice for the weekend! Plenty of room for the amount of people we had. Beautiful property right on the water. Spacious living room to hang out in. Everything was clean and tidy. There are also restaurants and things to do nearby! Would recommend.
