Vacation rentals in Monroe

My husband and I decided to spend our 20th wedding anniversary at Erika's cabin and we could not have been any more pleased with our stay! The cabin was exactly what we wanted, remote yet with modern amenities (hot water, comfy beds, and wifi!!) and the surrounding areas were just delightfully quaint! We had a wonderful time visiting different breweries, hiking in the White Mountains, and even taking a walk right down to the river below the cabin. Our hosts were prompt in responding to our messages and truly the pictures do not do this cabin justice! It is even more beautiful in person! It was everything we needed during this special moment in our lives and we were so disappointed we had to leave! We will definitely make the trip to this cabin again in the very near future!

Everything about the red star retreat was perfect! It is perfectly situated, easy access to several attractions. There is a lovely cafe right around the corner for delicious coffee. Julia, the host, was so polite and responsive. Checking in and out was a breeze. But the one things that really stood out was how well stocked the kitchen was! The garlic press and cast iron skillet made all the difference with cooking! We will definitely be returning.

I was only here for one night but I wish I could have stayed longer! This was the coziest 19th-century farmhouse. They nailed the aesthetic. So comfortable and serene. I hope I can come back again!

We spent the weekend at Marghie’s campsite and had an amazing time. The spot was quiet, private and surrounded by beautiful trails and things to do. Marghie was a great host, very friendly and easy to communicate with. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. We would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect base location for hiking in NH and VT in a peaceful, secluded campground. The view on the porch cannot be beat. Cabin had everything we needed plus wifi to get a little work done. Host is very responsive, cabin is very clean.

This was an amazing place to stay while enjoying the fall weather in Vermont. The location was very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by trees and across the road from the Connecticut River. Waterford itself doesn’t have much going on (which I liked!) but St. Johnsbury and Littleton are within 15-20min and have everything you need. The house was beautifully updated with all amenities needed for a comfortable autumn week, including a fully-equipped kitchen, laundry machines, fireplace, and a lovely screened porch + front deck to enjoy the weather. The bedrooms were comfortable and bright, I’d recommend bringing an eye mask since the windows didn’t have curtains. I loved the member-only area - it was worth the extra cost for the river access with private beach and boats/SUPs. I only went on my final day, but I wish I had spent every evening down on the dock by the river to watch the sunset! Overall I loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone looking for some peace and quiet

Patricia was wonderful and so incredibly welcoming, and accommodated on short notice. Her space was very nice and I felt right at home.
