Vacation rentals in Barre

We could not have found a better place to stay while having renovations done at our own home. We packed up our gaggle of golden retrievers and one beagle and felt welcomed the moment we stepped into the house. There were treats for the dogs, blankets to put on the couch, verrrry comfortable twin-sized memory foam dog beds and endless amounts of toys for our pups to enjoy. There was also a treat station as well as lickit mats and doggie painting to keep these retrievers happy and busy. This house is so dog friendly. It’s a perfect balance of a beautiful home for the humans that is also perfect for the dogs. The furniture was comfortable, the kitchen large and well-stocked with necessities, such as paper towels, dish soap, dishes, pots and pans and that stove…. Beautiful! The bed was very comfortable and cozy. If the dogs hadn’t wanted to get up so early, we may have slept part of the day away. Having the availability to do laundry was also very helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Really liked the ocation right on the water and great size for us (two adults and 2 kids under 10). It was a quick trip and didnt spend as much time in Tyler's place as we wanted (since we were diving around a bunch visiting family and friends). But would certainly stay again next time we visit the area.

We had an absolute blast on our girls getaway weekend!! The cottage and community were amazing, exactly what we were hoping for and Doug couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. He was always available by text or phone. The cottage was clean, nicely equipped, and a great location!! We will definitely be renting this cottage again on our next trip!!! Thanks for the host making this place like home. Furnitures are well organized. My partner and I love the sofa in the living room. There is a big sofa and single arm chair sofa. It’s good for staying with partner to kiss cuddle and more. We love the well organized kitchen. Very well-equipped. They even have some stock of food, coffee and tea bags just in case if you are hungry in mid night. We came here for skiing trip. It’s just 15 min to Mt Snow, 1.5h to Okemo. Stratton is also around this area. Great location for mountain staycation.

I’m grateful that Peggy and Harry were willing to rent to us at the last minute. Our family needed a quiet respite to be together during a difficult time of loss. The solitude of the lake and woods was calming and we had plenty of room to be together. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

We highly recommend this house! Great space with everything we needed. The hot tub and fire place was a huge bonus. We had a 4W car and had no trouble driving through the back roads up to the house even during snow/sleet. Stephanie was fantastic- communicated well, helpful, accommodating and a pleasure to rent from.

Space is huge, has all the necessary appliances and very clean. Great location within 10 min of mt snow

My sister and I spent a few relaxing days at Shannon's home. We had a wonderful time! It's in a great location- close enough to town to see the sights and go to restaurants, but also far enough away to be so peaceful and private. We booked it because we love being near water, and the house didn't disappoint. We loved the view. It was a bit windy and cool while we were there, but we were able to sit outside several times by the lake and use the fire pit. We also enjoyed watching and listening to the many birds around the house. The house itself was warm and comfortable and had everything we needed. We were happy to meet Shannon when we checked in. She answered questions we had and made recommendations based on our conversation. Thanks Shannon for having us, and we would love to come back sometime to your lovely home! Highly recommend!!

Great place, great location. Has all the necessary amenities. moover was helpful, and was otherwise close enough for a quick drive to dropoff equipment. the place was quiet and parking was easy, even being so close to the mountain. will definitely consider for future trips.
