Trapper Condo Unit 5

CynthiaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Very clean, comfortable and cute place. Incredibly well supplied and appointed. Right next to the entrance to beautiful trails, which was a plus for our runners. Host’s recommendations were really helpful. We expected three bedrooms, and there were actually four. Two are in the basement, but one family member loved being able to sleep in blackout. Highly recommended!

Peaceful Town & County Home, Dogs Welcome

ElizabethRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend trip and felt right at home. The space is roomy, the kitchen is fully stocked, and we had everything we needed. We especially loved stargazing through the large living room window at night—absolutely magical. The location is super convenient to the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, and nearby Idaho attractions. The big yard was perfect for both kids and pets to enjoy. Highly recommend!

Tom Miner Creek Cabin

AndrewRating, 5 stars7 months ago
The Maddox was beyond amazing! this place was so clean & cozy, and had the best view ever. the gravel road to the place was not bad at all, although due to the bridge closure it added about a 10 minute drive to Yellowstone. no big deal though! if your considering this place, just do it, you won't be disappointed! Hope to come back one day!

New Luxury Cabin Near Yellowstone/Tetons, Hot Tub

MelissaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had the most beautiful and memorable stay at this cabin! Our group of 6 adults and 7 kids felt very well accommodated with the sleeping arrangements and our stay was not lacking in things to do. The kids appreciated the large flat screen smart TV with video game console, foosball table and board games and the adults loved the scenic views, peaceful surroundings and excellent hot tub offered on the patio. We had no problems cooking for our large group as the kitchen was well appointed with all the things necessary including pots & pans, seasonings, baking necessities, soap, ziploc baggies, flatware, etc. We also loved being able to all fit at the oversized dining table for dinners. ❤️ Overall, it’s a beautiful cabin that was very clean and had 4 full size bathrooms which is a unique find. We came during the winter wonderland season but with the location about 35 min from the West Yellowstone entrance we hope to return this summer!

Luxurious for Families and couples, Meadow Village

CarrieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Very lovely place for our group to stay- well appointed with kitchen items, NICE pans, everything that we needed to be cooking in for our stay. Plenty of paper supplies, very comfortable mattresses and nice linens. Quiet and respectful multi-unit community, was super nice to have use of the garage! Convenient location for easy access to grocery, and the drive to Big Sky is beautiful and not difficult, even when traffic starts out heavy it weeds out. Highly recommend this host and home and would stay again!

Your guide to West Yellowstone

All About West Yellowstone

Set just a mile outside of world-famous Yellowstone National Park’s west entrance, this Montana town is a prized gateway to breathtaking natural beauty on a monumental scale. Aside from its status as a popular Yellowstone’s satellite city, West Yellowstone appeals to outdoors enthusiasts in its own right, with a network of hiking trails and cross-country skiing paths criss-crossing the scenic Custer Gallatin National Forest to the north. More adventurous visitors will enjoy the area’s adrenaline-boosting ziplining courses, rugged mountain biking trails, and guided snowmobile tours during the winter months.

Housed in a former train depot building, the Museum of the Yellowstone is a family-friendly favorite managed by the non-profit Yellowstone Historic Center, featuring exhibits, artifacts, and photos that take visitors through the history, culture, and ecology of Greater Yellowstone. Across the street from the museum is the West Yellowstone Visitor Center and the Yellowstone Giant Screen Theatre, which screens nature films. Traditional pubs and wood-paneled stores line downtown, while the imposing mountains loom large in the background.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in West Yellowstone

West Yellowstone gets most of its visitors between June and August, when warmer temperatures allow the full range of outdoor attractions. The late spring and early autumn months have milder weather and you’ll likely be sharing the park with fewer people, but be prepared for freezing temperatures at night, as well as the possibility of snowfall — West Yellowstone’s elevation at 6,667 feet means snowpack between November and May. During the winter months, West Yellowstone draws fans to the Yellowstone Ski Festival and the West Yellowstone Snowmobile Expo. But the fun doesn’t stop when the snow has melted. Summer brings the Mountain Bike Biathlon in July, the Fourth of July parade and fireworks show — head to park for a great view set against the mountains — and the Mountain Man Rendezvous in August.

Hebgen Lake

From camping and kayaking to hiking and fishing, Hebgen Lake is a major hub for enjoying the outdoors. Located around 12 miles north of West Yellowstone, the reservoir on the Madison River is surrounded by scenic mountains and is a popular spot for watching striking sunsets.

Firehole Lake Drive

Whether you’re keen to spot some of the local wildlife — look out for bald eagles, bison, and bears galore — or looking for thundering waterfalls and hot springs, Yellowstone is home to plenty of scenic routes.
