There is nothing bad to say about this property. The whole house was spotless, beds and bedding were really comfy and crisp white linen. Well stocked kitchen with lots of extras such as spices, tea, coffee, sugar. Well maintained property and in a superb spot within the village. Easy access and good communication from the owners. We would definitely recommend staying in this beautiful, spacious house if visiting the area.

Dream Little House

This property is in a quiet part of the town and allowed us to have a very peaceful few days to relax and get away from it all. Walking into town takes about 20-25 mins but is mostly on footpaths away from traffic. The house was spotlessly clean throughout for our arrival. The kitchen was particularly well equipped with (new) matching crockery/glasses and other cooking utensils, spacious fridge/freezer and washing machine + dishwasher, both of which worked well. The bedrooms were ideal with comfy beds, decent lighting and no clutter. The main toilet downstairs had a first class shower which looked as though it was recently installed. Even though we didn't use the back garden due to the time of year we stayed here, it is a large private and tidy area that would be ideal for eating/relaxing in warmer times of year. Communication with/from Allan was excellent and he was proactive in contacting us at key points pre-arrival.

North Face annexe at Ardenvale Self Catering

NeilRating, 5 stars5 months ago
It’s a lovely place and location. Plenty of room, nice and clean, and good working heaters - important for us Aussies who find late spring in Scotland rather chilly. The postcode of the address and the link in the AirBnB listing took us to the wrong location - the development next closer to town, so set the GPS navigator to “Ardenvale self catering” and it’ll get you right there. The description and photos show a bath though it’s been converted to a good shower which might suit some people better though I would have loved a bath. The pictures give the impression it’s out in the middle of nowhere though it’s in a line of houses. This however was not an issue - sitting in the lounge room looking out at the sheep and horses in the field over the road is lovely. The hosts are lovely people who also run a restaurant in town which we’d have loved to try though we were busy the evenings we were there.

Khalid and Hazel have a beautiful home. We really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend. It felt like a home away from home. The cottage was beautifully presented and a very cosy place to stay.
