5 out of 5 average rating, 14 reviewsBalgavies Home Farm - Cottage
An absolute gem of a find on Airbnb. Property is finished to a extremely high standard. Beautiful surroundings, short drives to the towns of Forfar or Arbroath should you require anything. The spa is also an absolute must, an added bonus is its all yours when you book it. I have been in a few Airbnb's and this one has shot to the top of my list. Will be booking again as its only a cpl hours from home. Thanks to Paula and Rob for being amazing hosts and opening this property up to me.
Home in Garlieston
4.91 out of 5 average rating, 43 reviewsCruggleton Lodge, Galloway House Estate
Cruggleton Lodge is a very special place to stay. Situated on the cliff tops with the sound of the waves crashing below and, as set at the end of a mile long private drive, only owls, seagulls and deer for neighbours. Super cosy and warm with 24/7 heating provided by the Aga. A mix of antique furniture with scandi chic in the throws, soft furnishings and kitchen equipment. The location provides a total escape from the business of life. A short walk away is the beautiful Rigg Bay with its sandy beach ringed with trees and rocks, great for swimming and beach combing at low tide. For great coffee and cakes head to The Hive in Garlieston, 40 mins walk along the seashore. The Harbour Inn is more than a seaside local with very good food, best to book for the evening. Both places have very friendly staff and welcome dogs. Star gazing on a clear night with a meteor shower and hot chocolate - life doesn't get much better! Thanks Finn and team for the perfect holiday! :)

4.75 out of 5 average rating, 4 reviewsLuxury 6 bed, bath house with indoor swimming pool
The lodge is amazing! Great getaway for our family of 14. The lodge had plenty of space for everyone in our group. The yard was perfect for the kids to run around and play. And the pool was a bonus. Plenty of room for all of us to get cozy and enjoy the evenings. Nice walks around the back roads. The location is an easy 7-10 minute ride into town for dinner, drinks and local shopping. The lights in the house can be tricky and I would recommend asking Alan on what to push and what not to push. The house is equipped with everything you need to cook with as far as utensils but there is no cooking oil or seasonings so come prepared with your own or purchase from the town co-op. Everything was great and better than pictures show. Had a lovely time making the best memories!

Lindsey's place has the best view. The Annex is more than well decorated and cleaned. Kitchen is fully equipped for cooking or reheating food. Her chicken came to welcome me like I am their old friend. I almost feel like I am staying in paradise. Lindsey is very nice. She briefed everything clearly to make sure my stay is joyful and comfortable. Too bad that I only stay two nights.
Home in Drymen
4.79 out of 5 average rating, 28 reviewsLarge house Drymen Village with Health club access
It was a very cosy at the same time large place to stay for at least 6 people. The conservatory at the back was awesome. Not very far from 2 train stations & tourist places, so not very expensive. Plenty of eating places around, even an Indian takeaway. And loved the local shops around the village. Thanks a lot. Looking forward to be there next year.

We never thought it would be a farm house very close to the cow farm! Such a happy surprise! Carpet have some dusts so we made use of the vacuum in the house so all good. Host made the house warm before we checked in so that was really thoughtful of them. Too bad couldnt visit the pool as one of us fell sick. Host is very generous with towels. Love it

4.92 out of 5 average rating, 65 reviewsTumbler Rocks Retreat - 150m from beach & hot tub.
Tumbler Rocks was just as described. Just a short stroll across the dunes to the beach and an easy walk into Seahouses town. The house was very well equipped with everything you would need for an enjoyable stay. We stayed as a family of eight with two dogs and found it had ample space for all of us. Dogs enjoyed their early morning walks along the sandy beach and with the outside hose, paws were easily washed down! Plenty of eating places in the town and as a Coeliac found an excellent chip shop, Italian restaurant and Indian restaurant who could all provide gluten free choices for both sitting in and take away. Anthea was very approachable and helpful in answering any questions we had prior to and during our visit. Thank you for the use of your house for our family break.

If you want some time to yourself in unbelievably beautiful surroundings staying in lovely accommodation you need to book Granny Maryâs with Wendy. Loved the way Wendy runs her place with clear, concise instructions and friendly communication that left us to ourselves once we were in. Couldnât recommend enough. Thank you for a wonderful week.

4.99 out of 5 average rating, 149 reviewsBraes Retreat - Garden Apartment
Felt like home. We stayed at Braes Retreat for four weeks and we loved every minute. The location is great for travelling around Skye as itâs pretty central but it still has that quiet isolation that most people come to Skye looking for. The house has everything you need, itâs very clean and comfy and Iain and Ingrid are great hosts to help you out with any issues. As all the other reviews say, the garden is spectacular, the views are beautiful and itâs generally a really lovely place to stay.

4.95 out of 5 average rating, 134 reviewsCharming, rustic & well equipped garden cottage
stayed for 3 nights whilst exploring the area. the cottage was great & very peaceful with beautiful surroundings. We loved the cost log burner and hot tub, which was a great size, very clean and private. kitchen had everything we could have needed and more. we didn't get chance to use the bath, but thought it was a lovely feature. The bed was lovely and big, we did struggle to get comfy with the Pillows, but nothing major. We explored the grounds and chatted to the friendly gardener who told us about the history of the house etc. Would definitely recommend for a cosy few days in Scotland.

Home in Cruden Bay
4.96 out of 5 average rating, 105 reviewsCharming quiet clifftop cottage, relax by the sea!
Great care and thought has been put in by the hosts to create and comfort and convenience for guests. The cottage is modern with character. All switches are labelled so guests know at a glance what devices they are using. The couch is very comfortable. The TV is set up with Netflix, Prime etc and I was able to do a bit of work on the WiFi. The kitchen is filled with all of the equipment you need to cook a meal, make a coffee, do laundry, making it ideal for a longer stay. The bathroom contains full sized shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and even had a pack of toothbrushes - very handy as I forgot mine. There was an ample stock of towels and lots of shelf and cupboard space for my bits and bobs. The bedroom was equally set up with drawers and shelving for tidy storage. The area is very quiet and peaceful. It is set right on the most dramatic and beautiful cliffs, with a path down to the waterside. We had a good time exploring the beach and rock pool

We had such a wonderful stay at Greenshadows - itâs a real gem! Gorgeous home and an excellent selection of books - both for children and adults! Our boy had a lovely time playing with the dolls house and reading. We hope to come again next time we explore the Trossachs!
Home in Glenisla
4.9 out of 5 average rating, 116 reviewsClover Cottage, private hot tub, Brewlands Estate
We booked Clover Cottage for our âmini moonâ after our wedding and we were so happy with it. It was everything we were looking for in terms of being able to completely switch off for a few days after a very busy/ stressful period. The cottage itself was lovely with great facilities and was incredibly cosy and clean. The garden was perfect for our two Westies to roam about and they even made some friends (6 or 7 cows that would often come down to visit) The scenery around Glenisla was breathtaking and some of the walks a short drive away were so beautiful and it really allowed you to fully appreciate what a hidden gem this part of the country is. Would definitely recommend clover cottage to anyone.

Home in Crail
4.99 out of 5 average rating, 214 reviewsThe Annexe at Kirkmay Farmhouse, Crail.
The Annex at Kirkmay Farm is a fabulous place to stay. My husband and I stayed for 3 days in October. Annâs place was warm and comfortable and had absolutely everything we needed. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you need, it has a dishwasher and a washing machine and the heating kept us warm. The lounge and kitchen are on the ground floor while the bedrooms and bathroom are on the next floor up. It is a quiet location with a beautiful view out to the trees and the garden 𪴠and the sea in the background. The rooms are large and light and bright. We canât speak highly enough about Annâs place and would stay again next time we come to Crail and St Andrewâs. Thank you Ann.

5 out of 5 average rating, 34 reviewsStunning Self Catering Cottage - The Otters
Where to start! This is the best family holiday we have ever had. The house was perfect and the location out of this world. Stunning views and wildlife. We saw pods of dolphins in the bay most night from the front window. Also regular visits by Otters, Sea Eagles, Seals and Red Deer. Sara and Alan were the best hosts and the house was clean with all the modern facilities you could need. My wife had a tear in her eye when we had to leave and the kids are already complaining that we have had to come home. We will certainly be back as soon as we can. I fully recommend this property to anyone, you will not be disappointed. Brilliant house and a stunning peaceful location in the most beautiful part of the UK.

I canât say enough about this place! It is beautiful and so cozy. The views are amazing and Etta was wonderful. Our last night was when a storm hit and we lost power. Etta brought us battery candles in the storm! Highly recommend staying here. I was sad to leave.

It was absolutely gorgeous and tranquil. There was plenty to do and explore around the place. It is a bit of a drive in and out of Edinburgh (30 min) but it was worth it. Plenty of space for multiple guests. We had a group of 6 but never felt like we were crowding each other. We also never felt the presence of other guests on the property which was lovely. The host could not have been nicer and made sure to personally greet us when we got there.

4.93 out of 5 average rating, 113 reviewsâThe Old Shopâ Grimsay
The Old Shop at Grimsay is a fantastic little place! Itâs like a tardis and is so spacious and roomy! It is very well designed with every detail thought though and we lacked nothing. It is modern and easy to live in, with all mod cons and some great characterful touches too! We felt right at home :) Michelle had left fresh milk and eggs in the fridge with fresh local salmon pate and even a bottle of bubbly too! And as if that wasnât enough, we had a mid-week visit with fresh scones and homemade ginger cake! Delicious! The location was great with easy access to all parts of the islands and we had such a great time exploring! Each day we came back to this warm welcoming place and looked out on the bay in front, whilst being simultaneously entertained by the sheep who patrolled the road outside :) We would happily book again :)

5 out of 5 average rating, 31 reviewsThe Bunker
The Bunker is an unforgettable Airbnb stay. Itâs obvious that Christen put a tremendous amount of thought into every detail. The wood stove in the living room makes the whole house feel warm and cozy. And the views through the windows each morning were stunning. If you have an opportunity to book The Bunker, I promise you will not be disappointed. It is truly a magical place.
