We had a fantastic stay—our kids absolutely loved it and begged to stay longer every single day. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach, with gorgeous morning strolls and stunning evening sunsets. We especially appreciated that it was dog-friendly—the built-in dog door in the bedroom was such a thoughtful detail, letting our pup come and go without waking us. After full days of kayaking around the Channel Islands, relaxing in the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind. The kitchen was fully stocked for home-cooked meals, and the welcome snacks were a lovely touch. We also loved not having to pack beach gear—the hosts had everything covered: toys, canopy, towels, you name it. Everything was spotless and well maintained, and the host’s kindness in offering us a late checkout made our departure so much smoother. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

We could not be happier with our stay at Lisa’s beautiful home in Ventura! My husband is always very skeptical of renting homes as opposed to staying at a hotel, and even he kept saying “Ok this was an excellent find” Everything about the house was as described and Lisa went above and beyond in making sure the house was ready and comfortable for us, even getting the pack n play set up and ready for use for our 1 year old. The kids bunk room, board games and puzzles, safety covers on every outlet, baby supplies and an abundance of beach toys and gear all helped make this an absolutely perfect spot for families. We were so close to the beach it was no problem at all taking 3 small kids there and back multiple times, and the little main street with a couple restaurants was less than a 5 minute walk away. Instructions were all so clear, the backyard was awesome to hang out and enjoy dinner at, and the entire house was so clean and comfortable. My family is already begging to book it again!

Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the Ventura area. Very nice home it’s very comfy with the massage chair and definitely worth paying a little more to use fire pit, bbq grill and hot tub! This Airbnb stay was an absolute gem! The location couldn't have been more perfect. It’s just a short, pleasant walk away from a pristine and quiet beach where we could unwind and relax without the crowds. The neighborhood itself exudes tranquility and safety, making it an ideal retreat. Plus, it’s conveniently close to all sorts of amenities, from local eateries to ethnic shops. Norma and Uni truly went above and beyond. They were incredibly responsive, promptly addressing any queries and catering to our needs. Their attentiveness and hospitality added a personal touch that made our stay even more enjoyable. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful beach getaway or a cozy base to explore the area, this place checks all the boxes. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again!

Joanie's beach bungalow was so sweet and cozy. We loved how beachy the interior felt, and the space is really designed to make you feel like you're living a coastal life. For those visiting or thinking of booking, some thoughts: Big pros: -You can walk to the beach, truly just a few minutes away -There's a new resort that is also walking distance and has an amazing restaurant called Ox and Ocean -There are lots of beach toys, a beach wagon, and everything else you need To consider: -Oxnard didn't offer a ton of options for our little kids outside of the beach, so we ended up driving to Santa Barbara for the zoo (about 35 minutes away), and to Ventura for the downtown area (maybe 15 mins) Thank you for a great stay, Joanie!

Our family booked this house for Thanksgiving week. It is in a quiet neighborhood with amazing views. The house was very clean and uncluttered. We had an amazing time together cooking, playing games and walking around the neighborhood. We would definitely stay again!!

Perfect spot for a weekend getaway. So close to downtown Ventura. We did some walking but also found driving and parking super easy in the city. Awesome view and private space.
