Brian was a gracious host to us six women who stayed in the lower level of his home. He made us an assortment of appetizers upon our arrival on Friday-hot and delicious! Then he followed that up with a cook-to-order breakfast the following morning. The best breakfast sandwiches! He accommodated us with every request and was super responsive. The bonus: the views off the back deck were stellar!

This place was definitely off the beaten path, nested between the mountains. Very beautiful and peaceful. Tracey is very responsive and was wonderful showing my family and my son the Alpacas on her farm. We will definitely book here again. Fantastic find and wondering host!

It's just as described, but more private than we expected. It's over the garage separate from the residence. We never heard a sound from anyone. The main road is a great road bike ride--about 5 miles with gradual slope. The setting is beautiful. Furniture is comfortable with lots of pillows and blankets. Exceeded our expectations. We will stay again.

Perfect for us. We were rarely there because of events at UMW, but we are able to get all our friends and family together for a dinner and the space was perfect for laughs and making memories. We are grateful to have used to space. Hope to return.

Lovely place! Great location. Shannon was great to work with and flexible with our group. The beds were extremely comfortable. We cooked a couple of meals and everything we needed was available. A very clean and simple 'home away from home.' We look forward to another stay!

What a wonderful spot to get some R&R. Beautiful view. Great kitchen and living room area to actually hang out in. Bed was super comfortable. This cabin is close to town but super private on its own little spot next to the river and a big field looking out at the foothills and mountains. Just a great place to sit on the porch or out by the river and relax. Lynn provided a lot of amenities and communication and we felt right at home. Thanks for the stay Lynn!

We have stayed here three times, as it is a great part-way stop for us. The guest apartment is cozy, clean and has everything that we need. It is outside of the main part of town, so it is a few minutes' drive to go out to eat. The neighborhood is rural and a great place to walk with our dog and visit the friendly horses down the road. At night there are a ton of stars. If you're visiting in spring or fall be ready for the weather to be chilly and breezy.

Megan’s place was great! She did a wonderful job putting her house together for her future guests. We loved the little things like a luggage rack, plenty of heat for the house, having a bathroom in each bedroom is a bonus. Megan even thought enough ahead to have an iron available for guests which had never been used until now lol. Thank you Megan

We had a wonderful stay at the Old Canyon Lodge! We met up with a group of our family members to celebrate Easter and the house (with the added on room) was a perfect fit for 10 adults and 4 littles. The kitchen was stocked really well and there was even an instant pot! All of us having our own bathrooms was such a nice feature and we loved the large enclosed hot tub! We hiked around the back of the property and enjoyed all of the open space (as did our dogs!) Chelcy was very responsive and great to work with and we hope to be back to visit again!

Amazing Experience. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, perfect combination of rugged ranch experience without leaving comfort (including a hot tub under the stars). Hosts were welcoming, friendly, and still allowed space to enjoy a quiet and private stay. Absolutely will be booking again.
