Great place to stay! The views of the mountains and the lake from the house were amazing. The host was communicative and we enjoyed our time there.

The home was in great shape and had everything we were expecting. We looked forward to a weekend away in a private and remote space. Overall we were very satisfied. I would caution anyone that there are cameras around the house exterior and it felt like we were being watched at all times. That became especially clear when someone came by the house to do work outside on Saturday morning, unannounced. They didn't disturb us, but it was just strange to come to the space when we had the home reserved. That just made us a bit uncomfortable. Also note that the door lock code is set for exactly the check in time. We commuted to the house from Denver, which is about a 2 hr drive and ended up showing up 10 min before check in. We had to sit in our car and wait for the code to reset to get in. It's a minor thing, but having like a 15-30 min grace period would be real hospitality.

Our stay in this magnificent cabin was nothing short of magical—it truly felt like we were living in a movie scene! While the listing description was flawless, the pictures don’t do it justice. The cabin is even more breathtaking in person, offering a pristine and serene escape. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Lori and Scott are exceptional hosts—attentive, welcoming, and always available to answer any questions before and during our stay. The cabin itself is stocked with everything you could possibly need, making it a true home away from home. Lori and Scott’s warmth and hospitality made us feel more like friends and family rather than just guests. Beautifully refurbished and decorated cabin, incredibly thoughtful amenities. Really a perfect vacation rental. We loved it.

We had a great girls trip to this cabin! Private, quiet setting with plenty of space for the 5 of us. We loved the location and the quick drive to town and the hot springs. Comfy, clean beds and nice, spacious bathrooms. There are only bathtubs however, and the downstairs bathroom is the only one with a shower head, so just be mindful of getting in/out safely! Plenty of spices and utensils for cooking, we even grilled! Overall, we had a wonderful stay and Bernadette was a great communicator. Would love to stay here again the next time I’m in BV!

Staying at Russ’s cabin was such a peaceful and memorable experience! The location is quiet, scenic, and truly gives you that “escape to the country” feeling. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. My friends and I had an amazing time—whether we were sitting around enjoying the view or just unwinding in the peaceful atmosphere, it was exactly what we hoped for. Russ was a fantastic host, and everything was exactly as described. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a calm, country retreat. We’ll definitely be back!

Perfect stay. Great hosts. This is their second home, fully equipped. If you stay here please treat it as your own. Location is quiet, with an amazing view & close proximity to Buena Vista for shopping, hiking, water sports. Lotsa room for a big family, or 2 couples and kids. I had it all to myself for 7 nights. Kids room has bunk beds. Wifi was plenty fast with the living room smart Tv and surround sound system. Plenty of parking for several cars with easy access on county maintained dirt roads.

We had a great time at Brian’s cabin. Beautiful surroundings, plenty of space for everyone, fully stocked kitchen and upgraded bathrooms. The view from the deck is top notch. Everyone in the family gave it 5 stars! We enjoyed the history of the family as well. The directions were easy to follow to get there. The locals are super friendly as well. We would come back!

This place was absolutely perfect for a peaceful bachelorette getaway!! It may be far in the mountains but well worth every second. The while drive had breathtaking views, then when you get to the house it’s a beautiful open window to appreciate all the beauty. With plenty for beds for me and my girls to feel so cozy. Definitely want to come back here with more family!

Tara's cabin is a true gem! The location is perfect, offering great mountain views. The kitchen was fantastic —well-equipped and easy to use for preparing meals. I especially appreciated the dedicated workspace in the loft, which was a nice spot to get some work done. Tara has clearly put thought into creating a comfortable and welcoming space. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene mountain getaway!

Perfect location for our families annual mountain getaway and fishing trip! Situated right on the river with beautiful views from the great patio and lovely yard, we very much felt at home. Close driving distance to town and up to Taylor reservoir. Host was very responsive and we will recommend this home in the future!

We had such a great time during our stay. The cabin is just as pictured, plenty of room for relaxing and games. They had lots of games ready for us, even baby toys and books. We loved the large deck and AMAZING views! The driveway was great for our grand daughter to sled down. Thanks for the memories!!

Great location, spacious and really enjoyed our stay. Very close to Mt Princeton Hot springs, beautiful hiking trails and Salida and Buena Vista. Highly recommend her place and would stay here again.

Very nice home nestled in the tree line at base of Mt. Yale. Very quite and peaceful area and close to Buena Vista and local attractions. Host provides a thorough welcome book provided prior to arrival that has all the information needed along with suggestions for local restaurants and other area offerings. Would recommend for those looking for quiet away from the crowds and in a beautiful setting.

Karen and Fred’s place in Twin Lakes was quiet, clean, and very comfortable. The views of the mountains and lake were stunning, and it was a perfect spot to relax and unwind. The cabin had everything we needed, and the surrounding area was great for hiking and exploring. Karen was helpful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay again

Matt and Casey's spot was easy to find and clean. Definitely a little retro spot with close access to pitkin trail systems.

My wife and two older teen boys stayed here on our way to Monarch for the evening. The place is extremely private and secluded, which we loved. It’s such a cute and cozy cabin that really makes you feel like you’re out in the mountains. The host had a fire already going before we arrived and some of the lights turned on since we arrived in the dark. Woke up in the morning and saw the cutest miniature goats, chicken and a horse a few hundred feet from the cabin, which my wife fell in love with.

Have stayed in an air bnb of Melissas twice and both time were fantastic, the cabin was clean and had all neccessities that we required!

We loved staying in the cabin! It had a cozy decor and rustic elements. There was also a great view of the mountains, and the property was quite big and full of bird activity. We were surprised to find a microwave, and the kitchen was well stocked. Jessica and Walter provided everything you needed to start a fire in the stove, which was great for us as beginners. The neighboring towns, Leadville and Buena Vista are both very charming and easy to get to. Our trip was mainly for hiking in the area, and Twin lakes itself has lots of wonderful hikes within a few minutes of driving from the cabin. Would highly recommend!

If you're seeking a restful Colorado getaway, I highly recommend Georgia's cabin between Gunnison and Crested Butte. We enjoyed relaxing with a book, watching wildlife from the porch, star-gazing from the hot tub and taking in the beautiful mountain scenery that surrounded Georgia's cabin. One evening we walked up to the seating platform on the hill and watched the August Blue Moon rise from behind the mountains. Such a cool experience! Now for the practical amenities...the bed is comfortable, the bed and bath linens are quality and plentiful, the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, glassware, silverware and cooking utensils. Well water is supplied and safe, but bring drinking water. WiFi is HughesNet, and at times intermittent/slow, but I had no issue working during my stay. There's no cell service so plan to use WiFi calling. Lastly, our hosts Georgia (AKA Bunny) and Walter live on-site, and were available and very helpful when called upon. We will most definitely return.
