Home Sweet Home 3/2 with Garage

AlanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The condo is super comfortable with everything you need. The location is in a perfect spot where you have walking trails, restaurants, shopping all close by. Deer saunter close by and it is just a beautiful setting. Gayle is definitely a super host and she is quick to respond if we have a question or need assistance with anything in the unit! We highly recommend this place and we know it well, because we stayed there almost 3 months! We hope to come back next time we are in the area. If you want to experience Pagosa Springs and have some distance from the downtown area (which can be a bit crowded during peak tourist times), this condo is perfect! Thanks again for a great place to escape the Arizona summer heat!

Cindy and Bill’s place is beautiful. We felt right at home and they were very thoughtful from the beginning of our trip. We loved using the kayaks. We also saw a bald eagle swoop down and grab a fish out of the water. Thank you for a lovely time.

Downtown Pagosa Springs

KellyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We appreciated the convenient location and spacious driveway. We had just been to the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon festival and needed somewhere to rest for a couple days. we had never been to Pagosa Springs, but it sounded perfect. We booked Auroras Airbnb last minute and we were grateful for her communication and the ease of staying there. We were able to catch up on sleep, get laundry done and easily walk the town as well as enjoy hot springs! We definitely recommend the place and would Love to come stay again and get out hiking and biking as well.

Inviting downtown home. 1-block to river walk.

So pleased with Jeff's place! From the moment we walked in we felt right at home. Wonderful layout, generous amenities like coffee, spices, laundry pods, shampoos, towels, and even cookies! 🙂 There is a market less than a block away and a reusable bag is provided. The San Juan Riverwalk is a 15 min walk or 2 min drive away. Wished we could have stayed longer! Thank you!

4-bedroom nestled in the trees with views!

DanielRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved our stay at Irene's home. There was plenty of room for all of us and our two grandchildren (4 and 2) enjoyed exploring outside. I walked down Shenandoah Drive with our 4 year old grandson and we enjoyed seeing a herd of deer, a horse, and some neighbors chickens. Our visit was very relaxing, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery and nice weather.

We absolutely loved our stay in Pagosa! This house truly felt like home. it was so comfortable, clean, comfy beds, quiet area. There were deer in the yard multiple days we were there. The hot tub was amazing for watching the stars. The communication with Cia, the co-host, was amazing. She was helpful and replied promptly, every single time I messaged. I would 100 percent stay here again with my family!

Your guide to Pagosa Springs

All About Pagosa Springs

The small town of Pagosa Springs sits in the heart of the San Juan Mountains, where you can take in the rugged landscape of the American Southwest from nearly one and a half miles above sea level. Encompassed by over two million acres of the San Juan National Forest, the town offers exploration and excitement in equal measure, from skiing and hiking to hot air ballooning. The area also has a rich cultural history — Chimney Rock National Monument and the Mesa Verde National Park have deep connections to the ancestral Puebloans who have called this land home for millennia.

The mineral-rich hot spring pools along Pagosa Springs’ San Juan River Walk provide rest and relaxation downtown, while nearby Treasure Falls offers a visual treat without having to get your feet wet. Back in town, Main Street is home to artisan shops selling handmade pottery and turquoise jewelry made by local craftspeople, and you can hunt for antiques and buy unique metal sculptures in the Uptown District.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Pagosa Springs

Temperatures in Pagosa Springs are relatively mild all year round, but at this high elevation, it’s vital to take plenty of water, layers of clothing, and sunscreen with you regardless of the weather or season. Early summer is the best time to go kayaking, white water rafting, and hot air ballooning and make the most of the warm weather. The hot springs that the town is named after are most easily accessible in the late summer and early fall, which coincides with a famous folk festival in early September. Winter is when skiers and snowboarders of all experience levels come to ride the mountains or go cross-country on fresh snow. Spring is one of the coldest times of the year and often the quietest season to visit, so head here between March and May to get the place almost to yourself — just remember to bundle up.

Top things to do in Pagosa Springs

Chimney Rock National Monument

This archeological site on the southern edge of the San Juan Mountains is open to the public from late spring into fall. Here, you can walk the pathways of this ancient civilization, which haven’t changed in 1,000 years. The hike to the top of Chimney Rock is a half-mile long and provides a glimpse of 200 preserved ancient homes and ceremonial buildings.

San Juan River Walk

The San Juan River Walk is a wheelchair-accessible paved path in downtown Pagosa Springs. Free hot spring pools are available for anyone to enjoy along the way. The path passes through Centennial Park with its public beach, geothermal greenhouses, community garden, and riverside amphitheater. If you keep going down the trail, you’ll find the Riverwalk Wetlands, home to Virginia rail and marsh wrens.

Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad

One hour and 45 minutes from town, this historic railroad opened in 1882 and is now a National Historic Landmark. The on-site D&S Roundhouse Museum takes you on a journey through the history of the railroad industry over 12,000 square feet filled with artifacts, and you can hop on a real train for unrivaled views of vast canyons, powerful rivers, and towering mountains.
