Cozy Cabin in Volcano Village

KellyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
When staying in a rain forest, remember that it’s damp! This side of the island is the tropical lush, gorgeous surroundings you imagine when you think “tropical island”. That comes with huge ferns, chameleons, birds, etc. It will also mean everything is wet.

Spring Special!- A-Frame Hale Nene with Hot Tub

CarolynRating, 5 starstoday
This is a very nice cabin in a lovely setting close to the NP. Make use of the space heaters provided as it can be chilly in the cabin. We enjoyed the hot tub. The wifi wasn’t working at first but we called the number provided and Aaron was very helpful with getting it connected over the phone. Finally the address listed is wrong. Put Hale Nene in Google maps it will get you there. It’s on Maealani Dr.

Great place - gets cool at night. Heater in our room was not working. Notified host - host wasn’t able to fix and/or find a solution. Luckily we were only there a couple nights……just kept hoodies and warm clothes on.

Studio Ohana Cabin Retreat

EdithRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
If you are looking for peaceful retreat between Hilo and Volcano National Park, this is a great place. Very comfortable and clean, like a small home with covered parking plus the lanai. I really enjoyed listening to the bird calls while having my morning coffee. While a bit off the main road, it only took about 10 minutes to get back to Hwy 11.

As Seen on HGTV: Halé Sweet Halé (2mi from VNP)

BrandiRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Driving in through the neighborhood and dense canopy of flowering trees, we knew we were in for a treat. The cabin certainly did not disappoint; so incredibly charming, spotlessly clean, and silent (oh yeah, and it smelled like heaven in the cabin from the fresh flowers). Any stress just melted away immediately. The private hot tub was just the icing on that delicious cake. An amazing experience.

tiny home 6- w/private Hot tub near National Park

ArturoRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
If you like being surrounded by nature and stargazing, you’ll love Keith and Jeanyza’s place! The interior was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the sounds of the wildlife around us. The hot tub was also nice to soak in after a long day of hiking around volcanoes. The driveway to the cabin was a little rough on our rental sedan but not too bad if taking it slowly. Overall excellent experience and would recommend to others!

Hale Honu

ZoeRating, 5 stars7 months ago
This space was beautiful, serene and peaceful. I felt comfortable and right at home immediately. She had clean and cozy linens all ready to go for a nice hot shower in the private jungle bathroom. Everything you could possibly need for a tropical meal out in nature on the lanai, was available and accessible with the full kitchenette attached to this studio. Her neighborhood is adorable and close to Uncle Robert’s wednesday night market and the Saturday Kalapana farmer’s market, and also plenty of beaches and just a short drive away from historic Pāhoa town full of food and shopping. This is a great location to stay and enjoy the fresh air in a private quiet bungalow, with access to beaches, and fun activities. Things I especially enjoyed : -a nice hot shower outdoors -private close entrance to where I parked -the sound of coqui frogs chirping at night -the lanai porch to enjoy a morning tea in the jungle -Kanixa’s friendly help with any questions I had

Banyan Bungalow

JacquelineRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Happy place <3 Bonnie and Christophe have built something special here and each unit on the property has its own flavor. Down the street, you have creature comforts like trendy coffee but through Manta Soul gates, you're in a lush forest surrounded by sounds of coqui at night. Outdoor shower was a highlight. Bug spray, ponchos, beach towels etc are provided. Great access point to everything on the island. Think: one with nature, not stuffy hotel.

Explorers Hale Near Worlds Most Active Volcano!

ClarkRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Beautiful, quiet, very clean, and inspiring place to rest. The perfect base from which to explore the island. Dawn is a friendly, knowledgeable host. She has created a remarkable eco-friendly retreat. The jungle shower is a great touch - all the privacy in the world while still in the great outdoors. The air is incredibly cool and fresh. We slept deeply to the gentle sounds of the forest. The community kitchen is large, clean, and spacious. We did not want to leave! Dawn’s place will be our top pick for future trips.

Oahu Family Cabin_Ocean views and Beach Fun

Andres EstebanRating, 5 stars4 days ago
If you are the kind of person who is likely to forget stuff at Airbnbs this is the type of host that you would love to have. Not only did we love this house because it was beautiful, with amazing views, located right next to an amazing local beach with sea turtles, and fully equipped with anything you might need for a family vacation (beach towels, snorkel gear, coolers, etc.), but also when we had a situation when a member of our group left behind an Apple Watch, Emily (the host) went above and beyond to get the watch back to us, even contacting her cleaning crew, security and new guests at the house. So if you are looking for a beautiful place to stay that also provides peace of mind about your personal belongings and security, this is the perfect place.

Rainforest Tea House w Pool /Rental Car Options

LyndseyRating, 5 stars28 months ago
The house was exactly what I was looking for and more — private, safe, surrounded by nature, within 15 minutes of a beautiful beach and pet-friendly. I was also happily surprised by the number of stores 10 minutes away in Pahoa’s town center including a Whole Foods like store called Malama Market, a CVS affiliate called Longs Pharmacy, great Thai food at Ning’s Thai and delicious breakfast at the Tin Shack Bakery. The weather was also better than I expected — I’d (correctly) anticipated daily tropical rain showers, but the late mornings through afternoons were almost always sunny during my June stay. And I was also pleasantly surprised that Instacart delivery people were able to successfully deliver goods from Hilo, 30-40 mins away. The house itself is beautifully decorated. I personally loved the crystals around the bed and flickering decorative lights. Those relaxing touches along with the sounds of nature — birds, frogs, insects and intermittent tropical rain — helped set the stage for some very restful sleep. I didn’t do any cooking beyond warming things up during my time there, but the refrigerator, freezer, oven and stove worked perfectly, and the shower water was nice and warm. Also, the car I rented from Kristen was perfect for my needs. You definitely need a car when staying here and one that can handle unpaved terrain. I loved my stay, and as long as you’re ok with lizards, insects, tropical rain, spotty cellular service supplemented by GREAT wifi, friendly kittens and a dog roaming the property, you’ll likely love it too.

Milo #2 Orchard Mini-Cabin for 2

MariahRating, 5 stars26 months ago
Not the easiest to find, and no service for GPS, but worth the little bit of trouble. We got lost for a little bit on the way in (it didn’t help that we were trying to find it late at night in the dark), but someone still stayed up to greet us and help us find our room when we got there. Beautiful, serene place. Really upset we only had time for one night there. Very welcoming, Great hospitality. Felt like personal guests, part of the family.

Jungle Haven at ReKindle Farm

SummerRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Wonderful from start to finish. Staying at this cabin was the perfect combination of comfort and adventure. The beautiful, clean, well thought out aesthetic touches and details made me feel happy and serene. I’ve never seen so many spices to cook with at an airbnb and it was so nice to utilize them in the sweet outdoor kitchen. I already miss their dog Koda’s blue eyes looking up at me on the lanai as he rolled on his back for belly rubs. Loved taking a walk through the Jurassic Park like street to float in the mermaid ponds. Such a lovely family living in an inspiring, renewable way. If you love nature and all that comes with the ways of the jungle, you’ll be into this place.

Dragonfly Cabin

LaurenRating, 5 stars93 months ago
Kirpal was such a beautiful, peaceful and welcoming environment to spend three days in. Unfortunately there was a mix up with our cabin, it was double booked by the host and thus we arrived after 24hrs of travel to this news that the cabin was not available for our stay (which we had booked a substantial amount of time in advance and had confirmation emails). However - the staff at the time compensated for this mix up with alternative cabins/tent for the first night, complimentary breakfast, yoga, and a partial refund. James in particular went out of his way to compensate for the mix up and it was really appreciated - mahalo James! All other aspects of Kirpal were fantastic, the cabins were a dream and the dinner was delicious. I would return in a heartbeat, and hope to return soon. Thank you for having us.

Oahu Family Retreat_Ocean views and Beach Fun

DanielRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We thoroughly enjoyed enjoyed our stay! Emma was a gracious and communicative host, providing plenty of detail around what we would need and could expect for our stay. Anytime we had a question, she was extremely timely with a helpful response. The property had everything described and then some. Even items that we had brought in anticipation of need -- e.g. coffee, foodware, alo -- was covered! The inside is spacious and provided my part with plenty of room to relax and enjoy our time. The home itself is nestled in a new and cozy gated community with gorgeous mountains on both sides of Makaha valley and commanding views overlooking the ocean. For those looking to escape the hustle and "touristy-ness" of other parts of the island, this is a perfect place! Makua beach just north up 93 was quiet and peaceful. While the airport and downtown Honolulu are a bit of a jog, the drive was never a problem and provided great views. We would happily stay here again next time on Oahu!

Milo # 1 Orchard Mini-Cabin for 1

ClaireRating, 5 stars101 months ago
Kirpal is a fantastic place, with a real community vibe. I'd highly recommend it as a place to getaway and embrace your mind, body, soul and connect with new people and the environment. It's off the beaten track, so having a car is preferable. Take advantage of the yoga classes and vegan meals, they are fantastic. Befriend the other guests and workers, they'll become your family after a few days. Make sure you ask before eating the fruit from the orchard, some isn't safe/ready.

Secluded Bamboo Cabin on Sacred Healing Land

BobRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Great experience and very friendly host and neighbors. This bamboo hut is welcome to everyone who wants a retreat or living far away from the network. There is even a sanctuary room for meditation. However, when i lived there, there was a hurricane. So it's kind of scary to hear the strong wind blowing the jungle and trees/leaves hitting the rooftop.

Makoa Kabin

KianRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Truly one of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed. We still dream about the outdoor showers with birds whistling in the background and cooking up some eggs while staring into the green forest. The kabin has everything you need! Last but not least… Lisa and Nat are the sweetest and coolest landlords of all time. 🐐🫶🏼
