Vacation rentals with lake access in Eastern Shore of Virginia

We usually stay during the winter (which is so peaceful and beautiful) but were thrilled to have a chance to stay during some warm weather during the kids spring break. We were able to fish, catch some crabs, kayak, enjoy walks and play on the "beach". We had a blast and are so grateful for the beautiful weather and peaceful retreat. Thank you for sharing your bit of paradise with us!

Excellent stay at RivahLife! The views were spectacular and the home was exactly as described. Easy to find with lots of stuff for the kids and adults. Looking forward to returning during the warmer months as the fishing, boating, and swimming would be more desirable. Thanks for the high chair and portable crib. Those things really help when traveling with kids.

We took a small vacation with my sister’s family and we loved the location. Our kids enjoyed the small play area in the basement with the arcade machine and foosball table. We cooked every night and they had all useful appliances. We used the Ninja air fryer and Keurig machine every day. Since we went in January after a snowstorm the road was a little hazardous to use and the lake was completely frozen, so we spent most times indoors. We did enjoy going to the dock and looking at the frozen lake. This will be a great place to visit during the summer, they had Kayaks to use and a nice dock to jump from and fish. We would definitely come back.

Relaxing, well-kept property and house with a view. Plenty of good food in next town over. If you haven't been to Northern Neck, stay here and enjoy some peace and quiet.

Responsive even before I booked. As pictured. Accommodated 5 of us very comfortably. Friends stayed one half block up I liked our place much better!

Nice quite location

This was our second stay at Beach Please and it was just as delightful as the first! The house was again squeaky clean, thoughtfully decorated and had plenty of room for our multi-generational family to spread out. Grandparents appreciated the first floor master bedroom and kiddos loved the game room, and the crafts and puzzles upstairs. The neighborhood is peaceful and cozy, with beautiful views in every direction. The addition of the acoustic guitar for songs by the firepit was a major plus, as our ten year old is a music lover and almost brought her own. We had a great stay and would recommend this AirBnB to anyone! Grab a week (or two) and don't think twice.

This house is perfect for large groups. It is very spacious, with plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the dock taking in the serene natural beauty of the Creek and observing the local birdlife, including Kingfishers, Great Blue Herons, and Bald Eagles. The house is situated very near to the entrance of Lookout Point State Park which we greatly enjoyed exploring on bicycles. Seeing a large wedge of Tundra Swans fly overhead was a special moment. If you want to spend some time relaxing in a beautiful setting in a beautiful and very interesting area with a large group, this house will serve you well.

We loved our stay at Karen’s place. The apartment is very comfortable, and the views are spectacular. I wish we had more time to enjoy the offerings. We hope to come back again!

I would have to say this was the cutest little place to stay in Rehoboth. Easy access to all the places we wanted to go! And not to mention the cute rocking chairs on the back porch to enjoy the lake with turtles and other animals. Highly recommend staying at this place!!

We enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable and clean. Everything was as described. Beds were so comfy had a great sleep. Perfect for couples or families. This unit allows for privacy since the primary suite is on the 3rd level and the other 2 rooms are on the second level. Very convenient that each bedroom has a bathroom. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need . We brought our bikes with us, we were not concerned at all with leaving them in the parking garage. Very safe area. We definitely recommend for your next stay in Ocean City.

The house was awesome! Great location - close to restaurants, stores, beach and boardwalk. Park your car and never drive again! Walk or bike anywhere in Dewey or Rehoboth. Private yard surrounded by tress and a fence. An incredible 2nd story screened in outside patio/porch that you can enjoy anytime of the day or night! Open kitchen and living room area. Don’t forget about the outside shower. The best place to be after a day at the beach! Philip and Michael were great host! We can’t wait to visit again!

We loved it here!!! We even added an extra night!!! Everything was absolutely perfect- we loved sitting on the porch and having a glass of wine every night! Jill was so accommodating- would love to come back someday ❤️

Zenbeachy (great name) was everything that was described and more. Clean, inviting, and stocked with plenty of extra clean linen/blankets, towels, toiletries, snacks, beverages, etc. June really goes above and beyond to ensure her home feels inviting to her guests. June herself is always responsive, kind, and helpful. Any questions I had were answered promptly and clearly. She was also able to recommend attractions/activities, transportation, and anything in between and clearly loves and knows Ocean City. An overall stellar experience partnered with an exceptional host!

Calandra’s home was just as described, very clean, and smelled amazing. We had no issues with checking in and appreciated the available linens and kitchenware. We loved waking up seeing the sunrise against the water right behind the house. If there’s one thing I would recommend, it would be a bathroom fixture upgrade. Otherwise, the home is absolutely amazing and we would definitely stay again!

We stayed at Richard’s because we were getting married on the beach which is right behind the house however weather halted tht so we opted to get married right in his beautiful backyard. The first day we were there we met his father who introduced himself and let us know tht if there was anything we needed to just reach out. Richard and his Mom actually were very sweet and left us a beautiful card for our wedding, the house is gorgeous and it was very clean. There were a lot a personal touches in the house tht made it truly feel like you were home. I can’t wait to stay there again next year for our 1st year wedding anniversary.

We were two families with four children—two young adults heading to college and two spirited middle schoolers—and every one of us, regardless of age, found joy and peace here. From the breathtaking natural surroundings to the simple pleasure of kayaking through calm waters, each moment felt like a gentle reset for the soul. What truly elevated the experience was our host, Shawn. More than just a “super host,” she embodied hospitality in its finest form. Her attention to detail, her care for comfort, and the thoughtful touches throughout the home surpassed even the details of a Hollywood studio setting !

We had a wonderful stay at Loon Cottage. The cottage was clean and spacious- linens and beds were comfy, and the kitchen was equipped with all essentials. The neighborhood is picturesque and quiet- we loved taking walks, and watching ducks visit in the yard. The sunroom was our favorite part of the house. Thanks for a lovely stay!

My wife and I had an amazing time staying here! While we wanted to explore Williamsburg and Richmond, we spent half of the days there just enjoying the lake. Those were my favorite days. In all, a really great place to read, play board games, snack on food, and sit by the water.

This was our second stay with Bob and Lolly in Tall Timbers, and it did not disappoint! Immersed in books and history, this quaint cottage was the perfect getaway. We are looking forward to our next visit!

The perfect spot for our Winter getaway. A beautiful setting and a well preserved colonial era cabin, perfect for exploring such an historic part of our Country. Quaint local restaurants, friendly people and a country setting handy to the lower tidewater Virginia. The icing on the cake was the fireplace for cozy evenings reading a good book. We had a wonderful long weekend here! The house is well-equipped and David was even able to secure fishing and crabbing gear so our two kids could try to catch dinner. It is a quiet street of cottages with friendly neighbors in a gorgeous location - the view is so calming. We enjoyed exploring the local area (love the coffee shop and brewery in Montross), kayaking, swimming, and relaxing on the big screened porch. A feature here that you don’t always have at the shore is a great sandy beach! Can’t wait to come back for another getaway.

This is a very special place. From the moment we pulled into the driveway, we were enchanted by the beautiful location. Water views everywhere, birds singing, bunnies hopping across the lawn - a peaceful, lovely place. The house is very comfortable. There were just two of us but it could easily be shared with another couple or as a family. The screened porch was a great setting for outdoor dining and sunset views. The dock is on the east side (and has a bench) so it was a great place to watch the sunrise. We enjoyed spending time here and would welcome the chance to return. After full days of biking and sightseeing, this was a wonderful place to relax. Comfortable bed (with a great view of the water!), well-stocked kitchen, very nice sitting areas in the living room. Highly recommend!
