Cabin vacation rentals in Wax

My daughter and her family stayed with us and there was plenty to do in the area. Kids swam in the river below the house and we also went about 5 minutes away and rented a pontoon boat and spent the day on Rough Lake.

Cozy, clean cabin nestled in beautiful scenery with ponds, nearby lake for kayaking, hiking trail with cave, waterfall, Billy Goats gruff & trolls. Hosts were very responsive. Would be a great place for family reunions. Remote--DG Market about 20 minutes away. Large porches to relax & take in the views or firepit to gather around. Toured Crystal Onyx Cave with kitchy picture ops. Visited Bowling Green. Want to come back to track a corvette & visit museum. Booked 3 nights--should have planned a whole week!

It’s definitely a place I’d come back and stay for a week and bring my kids. This time it was just adult friends and family. But we were talking about booking this place again and brining all of our kids! It was an amazing place truly! I’ve never done an airbnb before and they exceeded my expectations. I mean they had every dish I could have thought to bring and forgot. It felt like such a cozy place. Definitely recommend

Great cabin, with such peaceful views/area! The cabin itself had plenty to do between all the games, pool and ping pong, which was exactly what we had in mind to stay put in order to hang out all together!! Everything was so well organized with great instructions. The kitchen and baths were well stocked which made it so easy to function as if you were in your own home!! Amanda was great and so responsive! What a hidden jewel!!

The cabin was exactly as we expected. We loved the quiet serene lake and the 360 degree wrap around porch. The wind chimes and sunset would cap off each night. It was a great place to reconnect with family. My daughter’s favorite part was the huge shower with awesome acoustics!

We had a wonderful stay! Highly recommend Melanie’s cabin to those looking for a relaxing, private, clean, stylish, and comfortable place to stay. House. Our group included multiple families including kids and dogs. The lower level worked well for a family with kids - has a separate bedroom and 1-2 twin beds on the lower level living area. Main floor has the master bedroom with a beautiful bathroom. Top floor has bedroom and full bath - recommend bringing an eye mask if you sleep on the top floor since the windows let in light. Property. Secluded property that overlooks the water. Enjoyed the hammock, fire pit (they have wood and skewers!), chairs on the deck, and privacy. Location. 35 minutes to Mammoth Caves visitor center, 5-10 minutes to grocery, pizza, and gas. House is located in a dry county. Looking forward to coming back!

This was a great place! There was 5 of us(3kids) and still had plenty of room. Was nice to be able to walk right out and fish and also had a side by side available to get around with. Was awesome weekend, Thank you!

Probably the best air bnb experience any of us had ever had. Felt like we were at a friend’s place vs a rental… the house is incredibly well stocked and comfortable, from the kitchen to the linens and activities and games. The various outdoor spaces were a dream and even though it rained all weekend we were able to enjoy the outdoors. The house is beautiful, the kids LOVED the bunk room (the secret aspect was so cool!). We hope to be back, and wish the owners lots of success with their new property. It was awesome!

We had a fantastic time at the cabin! It was clean and well-maintained, with a spacious kitchen perfect for larger families. We had so much fun playing games, enjoying the saloon, and singing on our karaoke night. The hot tub and porch were perfect for relaxing. We had a minor issue with the Blackstone, but the owners were incredibly responsive and had it fixed right away. Highly recommend this place for a great getaway!

Absolute stunning house. It was great with the group of 14 people we had. Everyone had plenty of space and lots to do. The hosts were very responsive. Would definitely like to come back again.

We've stayed at a lot of cabins for fall and spring breaks with our kids & this is one of our absolute favorites! Everything was clean & comfortable, the hot tub is fantastic, and the layout of the house worked well for our family (kids in the basement, mom + dad in the upstairs master). There's an incredible amount of deck space (three levels!), and having coffee outside each morning was a highlight for me. The 18-hole disc golf course is a unique feature! My 7-year-old is just getting into disc golf, and we liked that we could just take him out to play a couple of holes at a time after spending the day doing other activities. A couple of things to know: (1) Grocery stores are few & far between in the area, so plan to bring most of what you need with you or to eat at local restaurants while you're out and about, (2) If you're visiting Mammoth Cave, look up information about the Green River Ferry -- not only is it a fun experience but it will save you a ton of driving time.

This place was the most beautiful backdrop for our little family get together. The home itself is in one word fantastic. It’s big, comfortable and well designed. You can tell that the hosts were so intentional and thoughtful about every aspect of the interior of the home. There are so many places to sit and enjoy the view or cozy up and watch a movie or have a nice meal. All the couches and furniture were incredibly comfortable as well. The kitchen was fully stocked which was great for us as we like to cook. We also enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. If we ever find ourselves in that neck of the woods again, we would not hesitate to come back and enjoy another stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Phillip’s place. We spent the first few days of the kiddos spring break here and visiting Mammoth Cave National Park. Mammoth Cave is about 40-50 minutes away but a really easy drive. It was nice to be away from things in such a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The lake house was very nice, super well taken care of, and clean. Phillip was also proactive and responsive. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a serene getaway. Hot tub and game room were great bonuses too!

Our stay was amazing! The cabin was exactly as described/ matched the photos. We were looking for the perfect getaway from our busy lives and this exceeded expectations. Such a charming cabin and pavilion! There’s a great bunkhouse, however with it just being the two of us and the pups we didn’t need to utilize that. Though I can imagine it’s perfect for bigger groups/families! Location is great for hiking Mammoth Cave National Park and checking out some of the Cave Tours! We had an amazing time and highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Beautiful place, appreciated all the decorative touches and especially the soft and comfortable beds! Our 5 yr old LOVED the mermaid bunk bed! I only wish we had more time to explore the area surrounding area, very beautiful. Favorite parts were the beds and playing with my kids on the cool fort outside. Thank you!

Great place to stay. Jeffrey was a great host with good communication throughout our stay. Our kids had a great time with plenty of space inside and out to play.

What a comfortable place to stay! The beds were very comfortable and the house was so fun! Every where you turned you can find unique decorations and great art! And the 2 decks were very relaxing to sit on. Thanks for a great birthday weekend.

Richard’s active care for the land is easily noticeable in how thriving everything is at Creekdance. My son and I would have stayed permanently if we could. As I write this review, I feel I’m still there- wading in the creek and walking the trails alongside favorable company. Just a perfect place to get in tune with the elements and really appreciate how gentle and safe well cared for land can feel. I will return and I’d highly recommend those who want to experience beauty and feel recharged do so also. Truly full of gratitude- Thank you, Richard. ♥️🌀

Nice cabin with a pretty view out into the woods. Fun and cozy place. Nice porch and picnic area.
