Vacation rentals in Wanamingo

Perfect spot for lots of family to stay together right outside of Faribault. Lots of space and really comfortable - we spent every morning and evening sitting together in the living room looking out onto the lake and hanging out. Great spot to recharge after long days of activities. Hosts were very friendly and quick to answer any questions I had over text. I've recommended it to all my Minnesota Family for a nice getaway or a place to have out of town family stay.

This home was incredibly peaceful and exactly as described in the Airbnb listing. I loved the proximity to the Twin Cities, yet we felt like we were in another land with how quiet and accommodating the location was for a weekend gathering. The house is well stocked, especially the kitchen, and extremely cozy. The river view was just spectacular, and the east facing home meant stunning sunrises. The bald eagles were out in great numbers and our bonfire by the river was truly magical. We loved exploring the small towns on both the MN and WI side of the river and felt like we were going home at the end of a day of exploring. We were lucky to have a gorgeous sunny Saturday, but this home would be gorgeous in any weather with all the natural light. The host is very responsive and she made our family gathering with my adult children one of my treasured memories this year. I would not hesitate to make Frontenac a vacation destination and this home is truly a rare gem among the many options.

This Airbnb was exactly as described in the listing—spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and perfectly located. It had everything we needed for our trip, and the attention to detail made it feel like a home away from home. The host was communicative and accommodating, ensuring our stay was seamless from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely stay here again! A beautiful place to stay! We loved the view of the lake and how close it was to restaurants. We always look for places with a good table to play games with 8-10 people and this was perfect for us. Eric & Sandy were very attentive and mindful of what we may need. Hoping to stay here again sometime in the future!

Cute cottage was a perfect weekend getaway. Cute town that was walkable from the cottage.

The views out the front windows were probably the best part of this place. I LOVED waking up in the morning to see the river, flocks of various kinds of birds, barges and the occasional train. We had all the amenities we needed, plenty of beds (we had 6 teen girls that LOVED being able to sleep in the same room upstairs with the twins and rollaway), and although there is not much to do in the immediate vicinity, there there are plenty of options for cute towns and lots of hiking nearby. We chose to go into Winona and do the Sugar Loaf hike, then got ice cream and shopped in town. After checking out, we hit Stockholm, WI, which was also enjoyable. Everyone in our crew loved this place. Greg was super responsive (and patient with me asking about the Wifi...I realized later it was already in his instructions). Great experience!

We (5 girlfriends) were very pleased with the townhouse and the gorgeous view of the lake, from both the living room and the upstairs bedroom. The place was clean, well stocked with kitchen equipment, bedding, towels and much more. Beautifully decorated for the season (fall) with very comfortable furniture. Thankyou for making our weekend a joy with your hospitality.
