Gem of Killeen - Big Yard, W/D, Comfortable House

MarizaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Sarah's place really is a gem! Cozy and very clean, we felt right at home. Sarah was attentive and helpful. She made sure that we were able to access this sweet cottage. The neighborhood was quiet. We were so close to all the great restaurants and shopping. We will definitely look for Sarah and any of her properties, but especially this cozy cottage! Thank you again Sarah for your hospitality.

On the Rocks Vacay Away

AmyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We really enjoyed our weekend at Pam's cabin. The view was amazing! We saw deer and watched the fisherman out on the lake. It was so peaceful. The cabin was clean and well stocked with everything you may need for a nice stay. We loved the 2 living areas in one cabin because some of us get up very early and others like to sleep in. It was nice for us to be able to move around the cabin without worrying we would wake others up. We all wished we would have had more time to enjoy the cabin and hope to get to return there again.

134 acre ranch Barndo experience

MaxRating, 5 stars5 months ago
This place was amazing and exactly what we hoped for. We wanted something easy going and relaxing away from the hustle and bustle. Our 3 yr old daughter was beside herself when she saw her room bunk bed room. Some unexpected storms happened while we stayed but even that just added to the experience in a great way. hearing the rain on the metal roof was absolutely relaxing while we watched cartoons and played with our daughter. The animals on the farm were wonderful. Our daughter named the white chicken snow white. They always came to greet us when we returned back to the barn. The cows were great to see where they would end up each time we left and came back. And lets not forget the sweet cats. I am not a cat person but these lil ones were wonderful. If you like a relaxing fishing experience their tank closest gave me the fun I wanted. Lastly not to forget the hosts. Absolutely the best. Our daughter talked about her new friend, their grand daughter, on our ride home. Highly Recommend

Beautifully decorated unique space with lots of places to relax and enjoy the surroundings both indoors and out. The covered porch is a delightful place to sit and eat or chat outdoors with protection from rain or sun. The covered parking was really nice for loading and unloading out of the rain.

Rancho Kind regards,

KathrynRating, 5 stars4 days ago
What a treat to stay here! The first part of our weekend was widely spent at Baylor Homecoming, but the second half of our weekend was spent here! There was so much to do and so much to explore that we didn’t want to go anywhere else. Our three young kids made so many good memories in just a short time - riding around the huge property on the golf cart with us, paddling in the canoe in the lake just outside of the house, feeding the horses Robin’s cookies, and spying wild hogs running around and beavers swimming in the lake at night! There were so many birds to watch, and it was truly just a peaceful getaway as we enjoyed being outside. The home generously has all that we need - and then some - and we were all very comfortable. We would love to come back here and make more memories - their generosity and thoughtfulness really makes this AirBnB stick out from others we have visited.

Cozy Cabin In The Country 102

AllieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
It was absolutely perfect. Peaceful, quiet, and like a breath of fresh air. If we ever come back to Texas, we will stay here again and again! By the way, if you decide to stay here (which you should) don’t miss the opportunity to sit on the porch with a cup of coffee and watch the sunset and sunrise. It’s just breathtaking and peaceful.

Gorgeous Ranch House Retreat on 18 acres

JudyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Great home with lots of space. Easy check in and check out. Rachel gave clear instructions and was responsive. Unfortunately, didn’t get to spend any time outdoors. We were there for a wedding and didn’t have much time at the house, however, the location was close to the wedding which was very convenient.

Your guide to Waco

Introduction

Deep in the heart of Texas, Waco has gained renown as a home renovation and design destination thanks largely to a popular home renovation TV show. Fans come to tour homes featured on the show and browse antique stores, chic interior décor shops, and home goods marketplaces. But the charming college city, home to Baylor University, has been undergoing a revitalization since long before the show aired. In the Downtown Cultural District, 19th-century buildings now house trendy restaurants, art galleries, and taprooms. History buffs can dive deeper into Waco’s past and visit the Dr. Pepper Museum, the Branch Davidian Memorial, or the Waco Suspension Bridge, which was once part of the historic Chisholm Trail cattle trade route.

There are plenty of green spaces to enjoy here. Lake Waco is just west of downtown, and the Waco Riverwalk runs along the Brazos River between Baylor University and the 416-acre Cameron Park.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Waco

The best times of year to stay in one of Waco’s vacation rentals are spring and fall, when the weather is pleasant, and temperatures range from 70 to 80 or 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Summers are muggy and can get as hot as 100 degrees. Cooler winters tend to be around 66 degrees, but temperatures can drop into the high 50s, so be sure to pack a jacket and warm layers. It doesn’t rain much in Waco, but May and October are the wettest months.

Top things to do in Waco

Magnolia Market at the Silos

To get the full experience, catch the free Silo District Trolley to this massive home décor shopping complex that spans two city blocks. Owned and operated by two famous designers, it’s a wonderland of modern farmhouse style stocked with furniture, tableware, wall accents, and various trinkets. Be sure to take a break to relax in the gardens, fuel up with food from an onsite food truck, or grab a cupcake at Silos Baking Co.

Waco Mammoth National Monument

Waco Mammoth National Monument features the remains of a herd of Columbian mammoths that roamed the grasslands here around 70,000 years ago. Twenty-four mammoths have been uncovered, and some of the fossils have been left exactly where they were found. The park offers guided tours, and there’s a free dig pit for kids.

Baylor University

The grassy grounds of Baylor University are home to museums, libraries, and beautiful buildings open to the public. Visit the Armstrong Browning Library, an architectural masterpiece with displays of rare 19th-century books, manuscripts, and letters, or wander the natural history galleries and outdoor exhibits at the Mayborn Museum Complex. Stop by the Texas Sports Hall of Fame to learn about high school football and pro sports legends, and spend some time paging through volumes of Texana at the Texas Collection.
