Pet Friendly near Gatlinburg

RachelRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Eric’s place is the nicest & cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at! The bathrooms are shown when you arrived that they were freshly cleaned AND they even stocked up on toiletries that you might forget (extra toothpaste, toothbrushes, shaving kits, stocked shampoo, conditioner, body wash in the shower, makeup remover wipes), the thought of having those extras available for us was so kind. Everything else in Eric’s place was so clean, comfortable & cozy! I was a huge sucker for the coffee bar. Most Airbnb’s I go to never stock up on coffee & Eric had plenty of coffee for us to choose from & there were even little welcome snacks for us! I was blown away with how everything was presented when we checked in. Location wise it was so peaceful & through the safety of the windows, we saw a mama bear & cubs walking by & even came on the front porch! It was incredible. Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge were also minutes away. I will be coming back here when I decide to visit the area again, thanks Eric! 🫶

Family/Pet Friendly Cabin

I can’t thank Alison and Jason enough for being the best host and providing our family with an ideal place to stay minutes from the parkway and also not a far drive from the scenic Cades cove! Alison and Jason provided so many details on other things to do and places to eat/visit while in town and we couldn’t be happier with them and their beautiful cabin!

Maggie’s Lane cottage~Come visit the Elk!

HaroldRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Enjoyed our stay in this lovely cabin. The noise from the main road was a distraction however the quality of the cabin and its contents made up for this hindrance. We did not see any Elk but enjoyed the beautiful Mountain View!

3 Bedroom House Near Pigeon Forge !

Charlie Rating, 5 stars1 week ago
Jeremy and Janie were super responsive from the very start, even while we were just planning our trip. Any questions we had were quickly answered, which made everything so easy. Their place was clean, simple, and beautiful, exactly what we needed. They’ve been some of the best hosts we’ve had, and we’d definitely stay here again on our next trip to Tennessee. Also, no pet fee, which was such a great bonus! Thanks again, Jeremy and Janie! 🙂

Eagles Ridge Retreat | Hot Tub & Peaceful Views

CelesteRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A great cabin with just enough space for our small family to enjoy the area for a long weekend. Location was excellent, super close to strip of attractions and restaurants but set back enough to enjoy the quiet. Distance to the National Park was our favorite part, easy to navigate and take in all of the scenery. The hosts were super responsive and friendly! We would love to come back for our annual trip.

Spectacular Great Smokey Mountains Views

LeeRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Driving up the road to the place was a little different especially at night. But we did get used to it. The nest was beautifully appointed with great decorations that made you feel like you were in a cabin. The place was outstanding, one of the better hosts that I’ve ever had interaction with. A few things that I would add to the property but all in all everything that you really need. The Wi-Fi was a little spotty as I was trying to do some work. Great location in Maggie Valley so close to so many things. If you definitely want to be up in the mountains with outstanding views, this is the place for you. The newly added outdoor fireplace was great to have.

Jewel in the Skye

BryanRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
My wife and I wanted to have a little get away for our 6 year anniversary, and we’re so glad we chose Julie’s place. It was super pretty inside and out, it was in a very quiet and relaxing area. Not only that but the view of the mountains and landscape from the sunroom, as well as the patio was absolutely gorgeous. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the tub, and how relaxing it was to soak in it. I loved most how Julie is dog friendly and our furry child loved running around in the dog yard. We are most definitely going to be planning to return again soon. Thank you so much for everything Julie!

All About Townsend

Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Townsend, Tennessee is synonymous with natural beauty. It’s one of three gateway cities into the mountain range, and with a population of just about 350 people, it’s an ideal destination for those seeking to explore the area from a small-town base.

The area around Townsend is steeped in history, with archaeological finds dating as far back as 2,000 B.C. — the Tuckaleechee caverns here are estimated to be 30 million years old. There are a number of museums dedicated to the preservation and appreciation of Townsend’s past, including the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center and the Little River Railroad and Lumber Museum, which speaks to the community’s ties to the construction of the railway.

In spite of its tranquil setting, Townsend is by no means a sleepy town; the community offers a packed schedule of festivals and events year-round. Immerse yourself in local lore at the annual Smoky Mountain Bigfoot festival, celebrate autumn’s colors at the Fall Heritage Festival, and add a little whimsy to your holiday during the enchanting Hot Air Balloon Festival.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Townsend

Each season in Townsend brings a different reason to spend time outdoors. Visit in the winter and be rewarded with cozy days at your cabin rental in Townsend between taking scenic drives in the snow or fishing in one of many nearby rivers. When things warm up a bit, festivals and seasonal events dot the calendar. May sees the annual Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Festival roll into town. Early summer means the arrival of the annual firefly viewing, where you can witness millions of these glowing bugs light up the night sky as they search for the perfect mate. If you visit towards the end of summer, you can experience the Great Smoky Mountains Hot Air Balloon Festival. In autumn, the leaves turn fiery shades of red and gold, and the Fall Heritage Festival in September celebrates Appalachian cooking alongside bluegrass music, arts, and crafts.

Estimated to be between 20 and 30 million years old, these underground chambers are home to 24-foot stalagmites and a breathtaking 210-feet, two-tier waterfall. Access to the caves is only available from March to November, so bear that in mind when planning a trip here.

Cades Cove

Cades Cove is one of the star attractions in the Great Smoky Mountains, and you can explore this picturesque valley by taking an 11-mile loop road that snakes through one of the oldest mountain ranges in the United States. This lush landscape is home to all manner of wildlife, including white-tailed deer, black bears, and turkeys, as well as historic cabins and mills and hiking trails.

Little River

The enchantingly named Little River runs the length of Townsend and creates the perfect backdrop for a day of outdoor fun. One of the most popular activities in the area is tubing down the river. The slow-moving water creates the perfect atmosphere to unwind and cool down on a hot summer day.
