Beachfront vacation rentals in Sotavento Islands

I very much enjoyed my stay at Alessandro’s place. He and his wife were very welcoming, the house is beautiful and perfectly located. Alessandro was always helpful and kind and would happily answer questions, give recommendations and let me feel at home. Unfortunately, I could not communicate much with his wife because I don’t speak her languages. But she was patient with me when I tried to talk to her and was very kind, too. She is a great cook and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner with them. I highly recommend this place and highly recommend having at least (!!) one meal with them :) I am already thinking about coming back because I only got to spend 3 nights there.

a great and peaceful spot to retreat from the world with good readings, or play in the waves. A very clean seafront villa, with the sound of waves, good bedding. Km of sandy beach without anyone, a restaurant on site, or the good little Gambian dishes of Loja Bert that can be taken away (15 min walk, in Morro), wifi (a little random) and Claudio's friendly welcome... what more could you ask for?!

The accommodation is very good, the amenities are good. The shops and the sea are close. But above all Maria is exceptional, close, responsive, friendly. Excellent pastry chef, she offered us good cake. It feels like home. Her husband speaks English and a little French. I recommend this beautiful experience.

A very nice house. Spacious, quiet. With airco, which is very nice in August. Wifi is good, I could do quite a bit of work. Kitchen is fully equipped but I didnt really cook in it. There is a good restaurant just around the corner, Benfica. Also, Quebra Kanela is within walking distance if it is not too hot outside. If you want to go to Plateau take a taxi. Aidil met me when I was on the main street nearby, and took me to her house. There she explained everything. Later she brought me papaya which I liked, it is one of my favorite fruits. Highly recommended!

Amazing accommodation, which is full of small unusual details to make the experience memorable: piano and guitar, games for children, Creole language guides, hammock, small well-equipped kitchenette, natural stone shower, balcony facing the ocean... The location is amazing, falling asleep at night with the sound of the waves remains a lasting memory.

This was such a beautiful space to stay. It was great waking up to a view of the water and listening to waves crashing on shoreline. The host family was helpful and responsive to questions ask. The place matched the picture. The only drawback is the accessibility of taxi from the premise, but this is remedied by walking out to the main road or nearby gas/petrol station. Overall, I enjoyed my time and will consider staying again if in area.

Stella Maris is a very well maintained conduminium. Many plants and flowers and well kept grounds. Our villa Atùn was on a corner with a nice terrace with sea views and very close to the pool. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Andrea's place is very well located as it is a few 100m to the nearest supermarket as well as to the city beach a good quarter of an hour walk. The house has been lovingly built, the garden very green. Under the tree you can relax wonderfully in the shade. The barbecue invites you to fry fish and vegetables in the evening. The communication with Andrea went smoothly, there were very good tips and an answer to all questions. Clear recommendation!

Super well equipped, clean and functional apartment. The bonus is the swimming pool in the building 👍 Note that it is in a residential area away from the entertainment of the center of Praia but in a very quiet area. Isabel and her nephew Djanine were lovely and gave us a lot of advice and helped us on several occasions to make sure our stay went smoothly!

We spent a week here and it was excellent. The house is basic but comfy. The property is very calm and since the studio is on a side path, not many people walk in front. The pool and it's view on the ocean and sunset is just breathtaking. The beach down a few stairs is super nice and easy sandy access to swim. When snorkeling you can spot some very nice fish and rock formation. The property is minutes away from the center, shops and food places. Make sure to try "Cha-cha Chicken" (location on G.maps, just 1 minute walk) and the tuna (atum) at the restaurant on the Fort José. The welcoming was great, the staff is very friendly. There was no welcome basket for us at arrival but it is not important. We got picked up at the port by someone with a Stella Maris sign (which is the name of the property). Pick up was fast and no issues there. Overall very nice stay and would recommend to anyone looking for peace, great swimming experiences and easy access to town.

Very beautiful and large house, very comfortable, with an amazing view, a peaceful terrace and nickel rooms. Close to the center, on foot. A big thank you to Mirtes, our host, edy, the driver and Vanusa, the cook who really took care of us. nothing to say. Thank you very much. Small downside for the extremely noisy water pump as soon as we use water. and for the pool that deserves a good maintenance. We recommend it.

Very easy to access, closest to Kebra Canela Beach. A superb view from the pool.. And a clean space. Just lacks a little clarity in the room and some fruit in the morning would be great;)

I felt very comfortable in Maria De Fátima's house, everything was clean and corresponded to the photos. The shower has neat water pressure, the bed is comfortable and with mosquito net. As a small welcome, juice and water were even waiting for me in the fridge. Thank you in this way! Communication with Maria worked smoothly; if I'm in the area again, happy to come back!

We had an exceptional stay at Hilario's The apartment was as described, clean and spacious. Hilario and his wife are wonderful hosts, always available to answer our questions. For an additional service Hilario introduced us to the charming town of Calheta and also took us to visit "Les Rabelados" in Espinho Branco. We enjoyed the bar/restaurant located in the residence. The atmosphere was very family and friendly. We'd recommend this place 100%.

top airbnb. you can hear the waves at night from all sides, very relaxing. its important to have a rental car, because its far outside of praia (30min).

We stayed in the large apartment for 2 weeks, 4 adults and 2 children. The apartment is very large, and the additional communal terrace is an absolute highlight. The apartment is simply equipped as is typical for the country, the kitchen equipment can be expanded. Everything was spotless, the beds are excellent. Paulino and his family live in the house, are all very nice and helpful. For us, it was the perfect place to stay, thank you so much!

We had a nice stay at Esther's, the apartment was clean and well located. Arriving at night, we had to wait a little before getting in touch with the caretaker but everything came back in order.

We had a great time at Charles's place. The apartment complies with the description, all the necessities are there. Charles is a very warm , helpful and very kind person. The apartment is very well located in the embassy area, 6 minutes walk to the first beach, 15 minutes walk to the plateau area. Recommended.
