Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Shawnee Mission

We have probably stayed in this property half a dozen times, a fact that may be the best summary review. The pros: professionally managed, always clean, good neighborhood with dedicated parking, big TV, fast internet and a nice covered porch. Walking distance to restaurants, and just a mile from Loose Park, a lovely urban park. The cons: the house is not very big, with two bedrooms and one bath. It is an older home and the wood floors creak when you walk on them. Our party is two adults and two canines, and it works fine for us. Overall, it is our go-to place when visiting Kansas City.

It was a wonderful place to stay. The house was spacious with 3 lovely bedrooms. I really loved the fact that I was so close to Shawnee so I could visit with my grandchildren and they could come and stay with me on weekends. I would highly recommend this place for others and I hope to come back and rent it again soon! Thank You

Was the perfect size for the group of friends we had! Walking in I was immediately in awe with how clean this place was. We spent a lot of time in the basement playing pool and darts. It was such a fun addition to this place! Also loved that it had some pull-out couches in the basement. My group forgot to bring snacks, and thankfully she had a whole tray of an assortment of snacks sitting on the counter for us. Check in was quick and easy. Was a quick uber ride to everything downtown. Would highly recommend this place!

Emily was very responsive and accommodating! Her home was beautiful and very clean, which made us feel right at home. It is located in a very quiet area, but just a short drive from downtown restaurants. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area!

We had a great stay. The location was excellent for exploring the area and going to downtown KC. Any issues we had were dealt with quickly by the owners.

The house was great for our large group of 10, everyone slept comfortably, and had enough space. The kids and adults loved the property. We ran into one issue with the house that’s not even really worth mentioning because Loretta called a repairman and came up with a solution to the problem immediately. It was a lovely stay. My sisters appreciated being able to park their cars in the garage. I, being 6 months pregnant enjoyed having a downstairs bedroom with a large bathtub.

Our family all met in KC to celebrate Christmas. The house we originally booked 6 months ago had a plumbing issue and we couldn’t stay there. We had to scramble to find a place for 6 people for 3 nights during Christmas and it was 6:00pm. This place saved the day. The owner quickly responded to our reservation request and we were walking in the door 30 minutes later. It was comfortable for 6 of us and we were able to prepare some meals in the kitchen. Everything was clean and we felt safe walking and running in the area. Made for a great Christmas celebration with our family. Definitely recommend.

Great place to stay with a couple of good options for food and entertainment around!

Stayed here for two weeks and it was really nice! Cute little apartment, bed is very comfortable and the shower head is fantastic! Really enjoyed my stay!

Amazing location downtown to all the action. We never needed a car, you’re in the heart of the city, place is spotless. Check out the Green Lady Lounge, def worth a visit…:)

Adorable spot in a very cool historic district! We ended up exploring downtown liberty and hitting up some museums and local shops. The lord of the rings touches on the hobbit hideout were perfect and the shower/foot bath were so relaxing. Easy check in/check out, all you need coffee/tea bar and fully functioning kitchen. Would stay again!!

Such an amazing experience and stay with Russ and Kris! They were both SUPER sweet and welcoming and the place was cozy, clean, and was so easy to get to. Would recommend to anyone needing an Airbnb!

This place is one of a kind & has such a unique vibe. It was perfect for our family group of 8 couples. We had the full Kansas City experience. We found a murder mystery company to host a private Gatsby themed murder mystery party for just the 8 of us. We dressed up in 1920s outfits & had an absolute blast.

Ashley is an outstanding and communicative host willing to offer wonderful suggestions upon request. This location is fantastic in accessing the city and all it's many great locales. Of note, this location is walking distance to Q39, Meshuggah bagels and other great bars and restaurants. I would be happy to stay here in the future.

Chris was an amazing host and did more than accommodate us in our stay! The home was absolutely beautiful the pictures did not do it justice! I would absolutely stay there again if we have to go back! Such a cozy clean place to stay!
