Awesome space for a large group of people. Spacious living room and large dining table allowed us all to be together. Separate sleeping locations allowed sub-groups privacy from the main group. Host was communicative and flexible.

Manjinder’s house was extremely spacious and suited our needs well. This is the second house we’ve used that Manjinder has owned. We appreciated his willingness to come change the heat for our ladies prayer retreat after 10pm. Manjinder you rock 💯🥳🥰

Hotel House

EmilyRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Great location for where it’s at. Honestly, my favorite part about the house was the bed. It was so comfortable. Honestly, I need to ask where you guys got your pillows from I need those at home. Overall, the house was nice and minimalistic. I think the only tiff I would have is getting accustom to the parking. Otherwise our stay was amazing and very easy. Very walkable to diners and ice cream shop and food.

Gorgeous 3 bedroom close to UPS & Downtown Tacoma!

LaurenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This cute house is bigger than it appears in the photos, is nicely decorated and has all the amenities. It's conveniently located in a residential neighborhood and still very close to shopping areas. The side and back yards are sizeable and in warmer weather would be great for eating outdoors. I even had two bunnies hopping through one afternoon! I would definitely stay again.

clean living, Entire home 4BR 2.5 Bath

LauraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Great place to stay. The beds were comfy and there are 2 nice bath tubs. The pillows were a little big so if you like small pillows remember to bring your own. The train is very close. It didn't bother us because we live close to a train but if you are not used to trains you might want to bring ear plugs. The loveseats in the living room are great. We really enjoyed turning on the fire and relaxing after a long day at Sew Expo.

What a beautiful home! The perfect getaway for a couple but would be great for the whole family! Looks exactly like the photos and one of the most well equipped Airbnb’s I have ever stayed in. Super conveniently located for hiking in the Olympic Peninsula and there is a great trail that runs along the beach that is perfect for a run or a morning stroll. Tiffany was extremely responsive and such a great host! We would love to stay again in the future! ❤️

We spent a long family weekend in a lovely setting that felt very private. The landscaping and view are beautiful. We enjoyed the bbq, hot tub and fire pit. The kitchen is large and easy for a group. We had 7 adults and there was plenty of together space as well as room to get away. We would definitely recommend staying here when visiting the island.

Dog-friendly home with stunning views!

DonnaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had such an amazing time at Heidi’s place. The view is over the top. The pictures truly don’t do it justice. We spent a fair amount of time sitting in the backyard and staring out the living room windows, sipping cocktails and dreaming about living on the island. The house had everything we needed to cook meals, and the bed was super comfy. The shower was great too! The fenced in yard was a huge bonus. Our pup was thrilled with all the new sniffs, and we didn’t have to worry about walking her around on a leash. Heidi made some great restaurant recommendations to places we hadn’t been, and suggested some parks that we hadn’t discovered yet either! Thank you Heidi - we would love to stay with you again!!

Casa Frida -Proctor/Old Town Victorian Retreat

AthiraRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Carla's place is very creatively decorated and very spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. It is very close to the Sound and my work and the neighborhood was cozy and safe. The master bath was gorgeous. The beds were comfortable. There is a back alleyway with a gravel driveway. It is a bit of squeeze to park there but we needed to park there due to elderly parents which was fine. There is usually plenty of street parking but you need to climb a flight of stairs to get to the house. The pictures in the listing are when there were plants around the home. The house can be challenging to find in the dark (we checked in at night) and google does not tell you the exact home. The washing machine and dryer is in the basement. We enjoyed our stay!

Your guide to Port Townsend

Welcome to Port Townsend

Port Townsend is a charming historic village that sits on the northeastern tip of Washington’s Olympic Peninsula, one of the most stunning parts of the state. There are numerous opportunities to explore the natural beauty of this area, including paddling along Point Wilson — and possibly lucking into a whale viewing, as orcas and gray whales migrate through the nearby Strait of Juan de Fuca. You can also hike or bike Fort Worden’s trails, skirting WWI and WWII defenses. In town, Victorian architecture abounds, thanks to Port Townsend’s origins as an international seaport. The town still harbors vessels at Boat Haven — the state’s only shipyard open to the public — and celebrates its maritime heritage at the Marine Science Center. Port Townsend is also a cultural hub. Many of the bars and restaurants here feature local beer, wine, spirits, cider, and even mead. You’ll find theater, live music, and art galleries in town too, including an art walk on the first Saturday of every month.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Port Townsend

Visit between mid-July and late August for the most reliably dry, warm and sunny weather. By October, the temperature starts to cool. Expect more of the area’s 180 annual rainy days between then and the beginning of May.

Port Townsend salutes its rich beer scene with Strange Brewfest in early February and honors its seaport roots with the Victorian Heritage Festival in March. May brings celebrations of wearable art and also the Brinnon ShrimpFest nearby on the Hood Canal, 45 minutes south. In summertime, catch free dock concerts at Pope Marine Plaza and Jazz Port Townsend. In autumn you can catch the West Coast’s biggest wooden boat festival and October’s quirky Kinetic Sculpture Race, where human-powered vehicles tackle traversing sand, mud, and hills, and water.

Top things to do in Port Townsend

Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge

One of the planet’s longest sand spits sprawls 38 miles west of Port Townsend. To reach it, switchback down a forested bluff, then stretch your legs on the flat five-mile trek to an 1857 lighthouse. The refuge and nearby town of Sequim (“Sqwim”) — known for its lavender farms — make for excellent afternoon excursions from Port Townsend.

Mystery Bay State Park

The Chemakum people first harvested the abundant clams in this scenic spot 17 miles southeast of town. Today the sanctuary — on the western edge of Marrowstone Island — still delights visitors seeking shellfish and crabs (make sure to buy a license from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife). Divers and paddlers will also appreciate this off-the-radar destination, which has six picnic tables with stunning vistas of the Olympic Mountains.

Port Townsend Marine Science Center

Fort Worden State Park harbors this museum and aquarium, along with two miles of coastline — a mix of sand, cobblestones, and dramatic glacial bluffs. The educational nonprofit showcases one of the few full orca skeletons on display in the country, along with exhibits about the Salish Sea ecosystem. In summertime, the center hosts naturalist-led beach walks and wildlife-viewing cruises, including jaunts to see tufted puffins.
