Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Port Austin Township

We were in the area for a fishing tournament and there was plenty of parking for 3 boats and trucks plus a couple other vehicles. Quite neighborhood. Would recommend staying.

It was a short stay, visiting family for the holiday. Perfect, clean, well appointed and the holiday decorations beautiful! Check in was flexible and let us have a late check out a nice surprise! Thank you would stay at the home again.

We recently had an incredible stay at this Airbnb with our two dogs! The home was spotless and beautifully decorated, set in a quiet neighborhood that provided the perfect getaway as well as peace and quiet. The hosts put thought into every detail, stocking the essentials and making the space feel welcoming and cozy. The beds were super comfortable which was ideal after a full day of exploring the area. From thoughtful amenities to the peaceful atmosphere, this place has everything for a relaxing, memorable stay. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a blend of comfort and tranquility!

Absolutely wonderful stay! The house was actually larger than it looked it pictures, which was a very pleasant surprise. We immediately felt very at home and we had everything we needed to settle in from our drive. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and the linens were clean and cozy. It was nice to have real dressers to store items, and each room had access to separate lights and outlets for easy charging of items. The kitchen was super clean and had everything we needed to cook meals and make coffee. We especially appreciated the Kuerig pods already being there and ready to use, as well as creamer, sugar, and other basics! Also loved having both a front and back porch to sit out on and enjoy the sun. Overall this is a GREAT place to stay! It is showing its age a tiny bit - some small cosmetic issues in the bathrooms, and the couches are getting worn and squished, but for the value it was AMAZING and none of those things affected our stay at all! Would absolutely come back!

Ammie’s place was cute and cozy. There was plenty of room for all of us and plenty of blankets to cuddle up in as we had our girl chats every night. The only problem was the airbnb site sent us a door code two days before checkin that didn’t work. When I looked Ammie had sent a code at checkin time that was correct.

Can't say enough good things about our stay. Almost don't want to because we would like to keep it a secret. lol. Beautiful home and property. We came in from out of town and extended our stay bc we didn't want to leave. Has everything you need and more to connect and reconnect.

This is the perfect spot for us to near family on the lake. It's a lovely place & welcoming to the family dog! We will stay here again.

We stayed at The Nest in early February 2025. Ann Marie has really done a great job with this place. The artwork she has in various places really makes the space feel quaint. I also found myself thinking at one point that she'd REALLY thought of everything! From pet dishes, to dog toys and treats, to great coffee. She even had a trunk full of games! We were there for a funeral and needed to have a place to change, and she was willing to let us check in early. Most places were closed for the season, but in the warmer months, this place is walkable to most everything you'd want in Port Austin. The only thing that could've made our stay better....I wished the driveway/walk had been shoveled. To be fair, I also didn't have time to reach out to let her know it wasn't. She likely assumed that it was.

Very clean and clutter free. Great use of the space. Nicely done. Nice kitchen. Beautiful expansive back yard on the lake - the pictures don’t do it justice.

Pros- Stunning views from the living area to the lake. Plenty of sandy beach front with all the rocks you would ever want in the water. Impressively clean and beds were made like you were at a 5 star resort. Kim has raised the bar for being a host with Airbnb!! Kim is a 5 star host and thought of everything to make our stay like it was our home. Cons- I don’t have anything negative to say regarding the host, the cabin, the cleanliness, and the location. Kim mentioned this is not baby or child proof; the only concern I would have if I brought little ones would be the outside. There are steep steps down to the beach. Every house in this area has just as many steps down from the house to the beach. Plenty of beach area once you are there, just keep in mind if you pick up rocks, you will have to carry those up the steps.

Cozy Cottage was exactly what we were looking for. The beach was great, and the cabin fit us perfectly. We brought the kids and had a blast. Will look to get back here again in the future.

We loved the view and how clean everything was. The cottage had everything we needed. The clear plastic walls on the porch facing the lake was perfect when the wind picked up. The town of Lexington was near by for anything we might have forgotten. The golf course in Port Sanilac was close by and gorgeous. We will stay here again.

would I give this place 5 stars? nope. i give it 10 stars ++++, it was so great, beyond expectations, the decor, so clean and well put together, so many extras that I never had at other places............did I mention how great and perfect it was?????????? will for sure stay there again when I'm back up there in the fall !!!!!!!!!!

Danielle was great. The place was beautiful. We stayed there to go to Bavarian Blast and it was close and an easy drive there.
