Amber, Nana’s Cookie Cottage is the most magical little Airbnb home I’ve had the pleasure of staying at. All of your nana’s love still fills the home and you can feel it as soon as you step inside. I can’t imagine how awful it must be to be some of the select few people who come through as guests and complain about the extra touch of love throughout the home. Their loss, for sure. 10/10, I’d recommend this home to anyone who is looking to feel right at home; just like grandma’s house. Your family is amazing and I am truly grateful for the experience I had while being hosted by you. To anyone looking to stay here, look at the pictures 🥰 The home matches the photos provided. Cozy and well-appointed space in rural Illinois. Great for a stay if you're coming to anywhere in northwest Illinois. Lighting is thoughtful and subdued. Furnishings fit the space well and, in some cases, are original to the building. I slept exceptionally well both nights, and that's saying a lot for me. You'll love it!

We loved how secluded and private this beautiful property was. The home had everything we needed and we were surprised to recieve a gift of peanut butter bars and homemade maple syrup upon arrival. The property was everything we needed to wind down our roadtrip honeymoon. The only thing I would not, which is completely understandable for an older farm home, was a large amount of lady bugs and boxelder bugs in the home. Overall, amazing property that I would highly recommened, especially to pet owners.

The cabin was perfect for our short stay. It had thoughtful touches, all the basic kitchen supplies needed to cook, a comfortable bed, and amazing views—what else can you ask for? If the nightly train noice might bother you, you may want to bring earplugs or close the window/door upstairs before you go to bed. (It was worth it for us for the fresh air!) The host very kindly offered us a late checkout since her cleaning service was going to be late getting there anyway. (We wouldn’t have thought to ask if that was even possible.) Thanks, Bekah!

You won’t regret staying in this comfy space. It feels like a family cabin, ready for relaxation. There’s also adventure for curious kids, wildlife to watch in the yard, & so many trails for the avid hiker! 2 playgrounds are close by, the grist mill was quite interesting, & we only wish we had saved more time from our trip to spend AT the cabin enjoying it ☺️

The bison house is just that. Bison everywhere. We enjoyed are stay and Earl and Pat were awesome. Communication was great if you had questions they were very responsive and quick to answer. We loved the Bison house with the sunsets, peacefulness and of course the the Bison. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thank you Earl and Pat.

Book this property immediately! If you’re looking for a remote, peaceful property this is your spot. We loved exploring the property and land. Plenty of wildlife and farm animals to observe in the area. The sky is crazy clear at night. Great star gazing and an awesome porch to sip your coffee out on. Extremely clean and well stocked. Also not much to have to do on the “clean up” list during checkout which is always nice when you’re trying to get out the door with littles. In the area often and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Phil is so kind and clearly loves hosting guests and helping them feel at home. Cool decor, too!

The house was beautiful and tidy, with plenty of space, comfortably accommodating 8 people. The only downside was that the second bathroom broke down a day before our arrival. Overall, we had a great time in the house.
