Monthly Rentals in Madison

The Birds Nest was the perfect place to stay. It was quiet and peaceful but still only 15 minutes away from Covington. Susan and Kathryn were wonderful hosts and were easy to communicate with. If I am ever back in the area I would stay here again.

This spot was so beautiful. If you like farm animals and camping then you will like this cabin. Very rustic and peaceful. Carolyn was nice enough to give me a tour of the property and the animals. She provides snacks for you to feed them if you want to. You can even go in the gates and see the animals up close. There were alpacas, lamas, dogs, goats, lamb, chicken, donkey, and horses. I would compare this stay similar to camping in a tent in the woods…as there is no running water, no AC, limited cell phone service, and no WiFi. There are electrical outlets if you need to charge your phone and she did provide a heater. If you do not like camping in a tent then this cabin may not be for you. There was an outhouse and outdoor shower available. Overall, I would say this experience is waaaay better than camping with a tent because you get to stay in a wonderful handmade wooden cabin on a 50 acre property, my favorite part was seeing the animals. I would book this place again.

The place was amazing! It is separate from the main house so it was very private and quiet. The surroundings were quite serene with a view of the horses, chickens and I even got to pet the friendly cat. Although it may seem like it's far away from Athens on the map, it was a quick and easy 15-20 min drive to where I needed to be. I would not hesitate booking again on my next trip to Athens. I definitely recommend it!
