We love these cottages. Michelle is a wonderful host. Very friendly and responsive if needed. I did not know exactly how to set the air and she was there first thing to help me. The cabins are very quaint and had everything we needed for a great stay. Beds were very comfortable. It is very peaceful and the view of the lake is awesome.. Our first night there we loved it so much I told my daughters and they came the next day and got their own cabins. Great place for kids. Michelle furnishes rafts, canoe, kayaks, life vest, and outdoor games. we loved the fire pit at night. It will be a great place for a family reunion or friends gathering. We will definitely be back.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Sunflower Cottage. The cottage overlooked large fields and the mountains. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and driving the 15-20 mins to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. We attended a wedding at Bearwallow Mountain and this location was very convenient to the wedding events. We brought our fur friend with us and she loved exploring the area. We felt right at home at Sunflower Cottage. We can't wait to return in the future!

This was the best air bnb we have ever stayed in. The views were incredible and being in the cabin felt like being in a little slice of heaven. Catherine was so sweet, communicative, and the packing list she sent out before the stay was detailed and appreciated. The farm tour was also amazing and an experience we will never forget. We will definitely be back!

J.W.’s place was exactly as pictured and the perfect, peaceful gateway. The views from the decks are beyond words, the space was very comfortable, and the use is the fire pit and kayaks were definitely a plus! J.W. was very responsive to messages and great at offering local restaurants. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to the area. 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

We really enjoyed our time at Valerie's place and are talking about coming back during another season so we can see the trees in full bloom. But even with no leaves on the trees, it was an absolutely stunning view!

My friends and I had such a relaxing four day stay at the cabin. We had coffee on the porch, did puzzles, sat around the bonfire. Easy access to the city. Beautiful location. Excellent communication with the hosts!

Amy's place is a beautiful and peaceful place for spending time with family. The cabin is great and relaxing. Amy's place definitely is a 5 start place.

This was an amazing property and we had a wonderful time staying here. We unfortunately arrived the week after the fish hook fire took place but remarkably Zach's property was undamaged. He had everything we would have needed right there in the home including cooking supplies and utensils. The instructions matched up perfectly and we had no problems finding anything we needed. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. Google Maps remarkably took us to the wrong address at first - his neighbors house, which was unfortunately burned down. I was pretty shocked when we arrived but Zach was very responsive, responding within just a couple of minutes and helping us find the right property around the corner from it. It's not Airbnb or the host's fault - Google Maps literally just pulled the wrong address somehow from my email. Putting the right address listed on Airbnb took us to the right location. Very happy with our experience.

Such a charming spot and gorgeous vintage home! The lower level was so perfect for our kids and for cozy movie night. Bob was an excellent host. We’ll return for sure!

This was our second year for family vacation! The house is very roomy and enough sleeping quarters for our family of 6 adults and an almost 2 year old and a dog!! We loved just getting in the lake water and float all day!! We probably be back next year!! Thanks for a wonderful vacation and family time!!

This was our second stay at Carolyn’s wonderful Airbnb, and it was just as perfect as the first! The lake views are absolutely stunning—peaceful, scenic, and the perfect getaway. Carolyn is a fantastic experienced host, thoughtful and welcoming. It felt like coming back home. Our dog got to join us, and he loved it just as much as we did! If you’re traveling with a dog, you can’t beat the accommodations of Carolyn‘s place. It’s so nice to find a place that’s both pet-friendly and convenient and nice and truly relaxing for humans. We can’t recommend Carolyn’s home high enough and will definitely be back again. Thank you, Carolyn, for another amazing visit!

Kirk allowed me to use the property for my bridesmaids for my wedding so they'd be close to the venue, he was responsive and flexible allowing an early check-in before rehearsal which allowed my girls to relax a little before the big day. The house was clean and cozy, offering a beautiful view and relaxing atmosphere. I wish I could have spent more time there myself, but my girls loved this little cabin. If you're visiting the area this is a great spot close to everything, but still giving privacy and pace. Thanks again Kirk!

The pictures did not do this place justice, as it was more beutiful than the pictures represented. It was clean, vary large with many amenities and lots of water toys "several kayaks , a canoe, beach toys, life vest, and even a couple blow up tubes. There was a nice grill and firepit and Amanda even left the kiddoes smores fixing, which they enjoyed very much. We were there for Easrer weekend, and there did not seem to be anyone in any of the other cabins along the lake, so it was very private, which we appreciated. Give this place a try, and you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic house and hosts!! This is one of our favorite AirBnBs and we live in AirBnBs full time!! The house is so lovely and cozy! We loved sitting by the fire in the living room. The kitchen was perfect for making dinner every night. The yard was large enough for our dog to run around and they even offered a doggie door if we wanted it! The house is very dog friendly and we could take our pup for walks around the neighborhood. The neighborhood is very walkable around a beautiful lake. You can walk to downtown but it is very hilly so bring your walking shoes! We preferred to drive. The drive to downtown was very short and there was plenty of parking. We loved this place and will definitely stay again!!!

The property was super clean, cozy and in a great location. Beautiful views of the lake and a private backyard. Interior had all the essentials one might need. Linens were abundant and clean. Bathrooms and kitchen were all upgraded and very nice. Quick drive to the market and a walk across the street for coffee, drinks and food. Also a quick drive to Chinmey Rock. Patrick, the host, was very responsive and always friendly. Definitely recommend. We will be staying here again!

Our family of four (including two older teens and two dogs) loved Diane’s place. The location could not have been better. We had a beautiful view of the mountains from all of the many decks and outdoor living spaces, and were in an ideal cove for swimming and paddle boarding. The house has everything we needed and much more. We never needed to leave except for groceries. Our kids preferred it to our usual beach vacation. The kitchen and appliances were spotless. Throw blankets, pet protectors, pool towels, life jackets and every kitchen item you could imagine, the home provided it all. Diane was extremely gracious and proactive in communication. If we plan a future lake vacation, we will certainly look for this lovely Lake Lure home again, and anything Diane is hosting.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, right on the water in NC. My group loved the dock and patio, which felt both private and open to the beautiful nature surrounding it. Access to paddle boards and kayaks made for a great activity for everyone and the house itself was spacious enough for everyone in our group to relax comfortably. Would highly recommend!

This is a lakeside cottage/cabin built in 1950 and subsequently updated. It met our expectations of rustic coziness and modern bathroom/ kitchen. The screened porch overlooking the lake was a highlight. It is evident that this rental is enjoyed by the owners and there are many touches that show they have actually stayed there and thought about what is needed. The kitchen is well equipped and there are plenty of towels. A highlight for us was using the kayaks. Early morning on the lake is peaceful and there isn’t much traffic on this little bay. We had four adults, so having one shower was not a problem. We had read the description and reviews and were prepared for the stairs. Many houses on this bay are built on the side on a steep embankment and have long staircases. Also, the property manager was responsive to our questions. We enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again.

I cannot say enough positive things about this place! Beautiful setting, beautiful house, and oodles of amenities. Enough room for everyone to have their own space. Amazing value and fantastic host! Do not hesitate to book this place!!
