Places to stay in Keokuk

Our stay here was exactly what we needed. Everything was as described in the listing, and the bed was comfortable. We had a good time putting together the 550 piece puzzle during our weekend. There are 2 convenience stores within very short walking distance which was an added plus. Taylor was responsive and helpful during our stay

Overall great stay, may not be for everyone with some of the hunting decor but it very much gives off cozy cabin vibes which more than accommodated for our needs. A full kitchen of pots and pans made it very easy for a great homemade breakfast. Had a small issue getting into the cabin initially but this would be an oversight on my end as Mike had put the enter/check-in code in the initial message with me. Would definitely book again! 5/5

We loved our stay at Hart house. We were surprised to arrive and see it really was right across the street from the temple. It was an amazing view, not to mention the view of the mississippi river down the hill. The home is appointed in antique and arts & craft period pieces. There was lots of room for our family of 6 too. It was beautiful and just fantastic. The weather got cold and very windy and we enjoyed staying indoors that evening and enjoying the beautiful home and view. This is not a comment on the house but Nauvoo in general for April. There is very little to eat in town. There is no grocery store in town and Keokuk 20+min away is the closest city with grocery stores. We decided we’d just eat out. Well, Casey’s gas station is the only place open for breakfast before 10am, and gratefully, their breakfast pizza and breakfast wraps are ok. For dinner, the nauvoo inn is open on the weekend but on a weekday night, the Red Front is all that’s open. Just a heads up!

We had a weekend in Nauvoo and Tyler's place was a perfect place to stay. Their home was clean and convenient. Plenty of linens and supplies for our stay. Parking was right outside the door. We could walk to the temple and walk to convenience stores and restaurants. We will return.

Absolutely gorgeous. One of the best ever. So many beautiful decorations. Fun to stay here, and it’s all by itself out in the fields.

I like clean when I pay a cleaning fee....plants not well kept,rugs in bathroom probably skipped a cleaning,entryway dirty and stairs like too many parties.Light bulbs not cleaned.Cobwebs in corners.Couch and pillows needed shampooing. Party balloon and lighter in couch.Under couch cushions...pop tab ,ect .Cool place though!!!!Very eclectic and easy vibe.I would like an early check in to clean first and would be happy. Truly an artist!!!!! Cool spot

This was our second time staying at The Yellow Door Cottage. The place is pretty and clean as described. Stacey is the great host, she always pays attention to detail and fast response.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed in this location. Both times have been fantastic. Rebecca is a very responsive and accommodating host!

This was at least my third stay at one of Jeff's places. Always a good experience. Clean, well maintained, nice quality furnishings. All really nice. It's worth emphasizing the back deck. The view isn't the best ever (not bad - an old brick building across the parking lot) but it's super peaceful and fairly shielded from the wind. Great to wind down in the evening. Just note: There are a lot of steps in this apartment - first to get to the apartment and then more stairs to get to the bedroom. You can see them in the pictures, but might not think about them. Not a problem for me, but might be for some folks. Great place to say. I'll definitely come back!
