Vacation rentals in First Coast

I've been waiting to do a review for Syd and Leslie's place. This place is wonderful and the hosts were/are very responsive and showed they cared for their home and the renters. They approved us to stay longer on check-out day because of a late flight and was very accommodating. Leslie texted me while we were on our way to the airport to thank us for taking such great care of everything and to have a safe trip. Shows me she really cares about people. We stayed there with 4 adults and 4 grandkids. The pool and pool area are great. The pictures do not do it justice. There were a BBQ/ games/pool toys/beach toys, etc. for our use. The house is in a beautiful location right on the canal and it is fully equipped for all your needs for the stay. Even during out stay I reached out to Leslie and she responded immediately. I cannot say enough good things about our stay other than we're planning to stay again next year and maybe for two weeks this time. Thank you, Syd and Leslie!!

This was a very nice, well designed and put together place to stay. It has a nice view of the waves on the beach and of the pool. It is very clean and well designed and organized. It was well stocked with everything we might have needed. It is a short walk to a restaurant with a bar. The beach is only a few steps away over the dune. The pool is a salt water pool, which was a pleasant and unexpected surprise! I would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing, much needed vacation. The house was beautiful and had all the amenities needed to make it feel just like home. The attention to detail was spot on.. Chris gave us so many ideas and suggestions on things to do in the area. The pool was a hit with the kids. Chris was super quick at responding to questions and even sent videos on how to do things with the pool. We will definitely be back! The beaches are so beautiful and at low tides exploring was a lot of fun. We saw stingrays, crabs, jelly fish and tons of live sand dollars (that we left alone, please don’t take them if they are alive)… This was our first time on St. Simon Island and we fell in love.

We had such an enjoyable and cozy stay at this listing! We were a convenient distance from the beach, plenty of restaurants, and the downtown area. The pool was clean and everyone was welcoming. Having laundry machines and a pack and play in our unit made traveling with a one year old so much easier. This listing was perfect for a 4 day getaway for a small family who likes the option of going out and the comfort of staying in.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an incredible stay across the four cottages we rented for the week of our wedding. The location is absolutely perfect — just minutes from St. Augustine, which made it easy for everyone to enjoy the historic charm and local attractions. The cottages themselves were fantastic: clean, well-equipped, and beautifully maintained. We especially loved the shared amenities — the pool was a huge hit, and the BBQ area made it easy for us to gather and relax together. Being so close to each other was ideal for our group and made the whole week feel like one big celebration. The hosts were wonderful to work with — check-in was smooth, and they were always quick to respond and helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommend for families or groups looking for a fun, comfortable, and convenient place to stay near St. Augustine!

Enjoyed our stay place was close to everything and neighborhood was quiet

Barry’s place is a gorgeous, cozy little spot tucked away on the water feature of a golf course, it was easy to find with the first spot in the parking lot reserved for the property. It’s a beautifully decorated place with THREE balconies that protrude over the water from any of the sliding glass doors from inside. My wife loved being able to feed the turtles first thing in the morning as we enjoyed our coffee. There are so many of them, if you love turtles, this is definitely the place for you, they come right to you. Barry was very attentive to us before we even left from Augusta to head that way, to the time we left Sunday morning. I now have a new favorite place to stay in the Brunswick/Jekyll/St. Simon’s area, and if it’s available when I come, I’ll be staying at Barry’s place from now on. We LOVE Amelia Island. Chip and Amy’s place is perfect for a short or long term stay. Beautifully updated space with a full very functional kitchen and comfortable beds! Quiet location close to all the amenities. We will be back!!
