My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and we had an amazing time! The place was spotless and it had all the amenities described- the cinema projector made for wonderful evening entertainment. Prew was excellent and was incredibly kind, helpful, friendly and went above and beyond her duties as host! Whilst Long Wittenham is somewhat out of the way it was a great location to unwind and reconnect with nature as it was beautifully scenic in and around the town. Highly recommend staying here for all, it will be a lovely experience and is well worth the money!!

This our second time here at herons , still as beautiful as the first time , weather helps of course , but if you want beautiful surroundings and peace , in walking distance to the village this is the place for you , we have been on air bab for a few years now and this is the only place we have been back to says it all you won’t be disappointed try it it’s fab .

Had a lovely 3 night, warm and cosy winter stay in the loft. A great location to relax, read and explore nearby villages and jump the bus into Oxford. Anna and Jonathan were great hosts, who communicated well throughout.

Absolutely loved this place. The view out over the fields, the footpath from the door down to the river, the super comfortable bed, neat little kitchen area and thoughtful design. The village is pretty, a few minutes walk to the friendly local shop, several pubs and the beautiful, ancient, Dorchester Abbey. Great for visiting Oxford and the surrounding area.

We had a lovely long weekend at The Hayloft. The rooms are much bigger than the photos show, plenty of room for both ourselves and our German Shepherd. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked with everything you need (tea/coffee/bread/eggs/shampoo/conditioner etc) which was such a nice touch. Highly recommend taking some of the walks, we did the Six Bells 6 mile round trip and finished with lunch there which was really good also. It would be nice to have a fully enclosed courtyard to let the dog off as ours is a bit fussy about going to the bathroom on the lead but we made do and it didnt make any negative impact on our stay! Overall a fantastic place to stay in a beautiful area - couldn't recommend more :)

Such a lovely little place to stay, nice and cozy with all you need for a trip to oxford and the surrounding areas. The TV had all sorts of streaming services which was great after a long day. Jane very kindly posted my socks to me which i left behind - much appreciated! We saw quite a few deer in the surrounding forest, such a cute location and extremely peaceful. The bus stop is about a 15 min walk away - i think you can probably walk down a footpath through the forest but we walked along the grass verge. If you're returning in the dark make sure you have a torch! Another good tip is to park in the park and ride nearby and get the bus from there - actually way cheaper than buying a return on the bus if you have 2 people. Overall lovely place and would definitely stay again!

We spent 3 nights at Miriam’s at the end of March. The place was just as described, very comfortable, clean and easy to access. The aim was to relax in nature and go for few walks - and it was perfect for that with access to Thames Path and other public paths, as well as many interesting villages (and pubs), if walking is not your thing. Great food at Barley Mow. I would also recommend visit to Pendon Museum in Long Wittenham, if you like tiny things:)

A compact room in a very friendly house and a fantastic location. Natasha and Julian were very welcoming, even though I arrived in the middle of a family event. Smooth check-in, communication was great, Natasha was very helpful when I changed plans at the last minute. Wolvercote is lovely, the White Hart pub just round the corner is a gem, and if you are up for the distance, the walks into Oxford along the Thames or along the canal are both just wonderful. Ideal combination of lovely quiet location, peaceful green walks nearby and the city of Oxford just down the road.

Christine was an exceptional host. She went above and beyond to provide us with a comfortable stay. We had our 8 week old and Christine was very caring and helped us with extra things. The bedroom is more of a huge suite! Super king bed, a gorgeous sitting area and views out the large windows. All linen and towels were spotless. The high point was having a delicious breakfast in the 18th century dining hall. Organic local produce which was delicious. Very well located with the Shepherds Hut pub nearby for great food (15 min walk). My wife and I would love to come back one day! Thank you Christine 🙏🏻

Linda was very accommodating and clear with instructions for the stay. I appreciate Linda for allowing me to keep my bags post checkout. The location of the house is inconvenient as there are frequent buses to the city centre.
