The Palms on Sunset Beach

AnnaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful long weekend. The house is tucked away without a ton of traffic, a short walk to the beach, and a convenient location for walking to coffee. The house was immaculate and had all the supplies and cookware for the trip. The dogs especially loved the screened in porch. A beautiful spot and we hope to be back soon

Jordan was a dream to work with and her place was wonderful! She was always responsive when I reached out with questions and the house was a perfect spot for us for our weekend in myrtle beach. It was just a quick walk to the beach, and the kids really enjoyed the pool and being on the inlet. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a great spot at the beach for the family!

Nana’s Sand Dollar Inn!

RosemaryRating, 5 stars8 months ago
I cannot say enough positive things about our stay! The host, DeAnn was second to none, and one of the best hosts we have ever had. We were scheduled to arrive during Hurricane Debby, and DeAnn was incredibly helpful and accommodating - she was even providing me with daily local forecasts from trusted sources, so we had the most accurate information. We ended up adjusting our arrival with no problem and proceeded to have a wonderful time. There is a full stocked kitchen (with everything from the normal items one would expect, to an air fryer and spices 😁), and a spacious living layout. We were steps from the beach, pools (including one with a lazy river) and much to our delight, even tennis courts! We used them all! There were also playgrounds for younger kids, and a basketball court. We did see an indoor/outdoor pool too, but didn't use that. Entry was simple, both to the resort and apartment - having a code was so much easier than carrying a key. We will definitely return!

We loved this place! We have stayed at Patricia Grand several times, but this condo really had it all. We liked how the bedroom was separate from the living area. We were in town to compete in a weightlifting competition, so the full kitchen was great. Loved that there's a mini dishwasher too. Our senior chihuahuas also seemed to enjoy the place. You can't hear any outside noise once you're in the unit. We would definitely stay again!

Clean and well stocked house, although we were in town for a wedding so did not spend much time in the home or going to the beach. Donna was kind and responsive in communicating. Front door a bit difficult to lock/unc lock so we used the back door to come and go. Linens and towels were clean and well stocked. House is older, so a few things like the shower/tubs are a bit older and the water pressure is so so, but overall the layout was great for our group and we enjoyed our stay.

Oceanside retreat

SamanthaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Great place to stay in a good location. The space was as described and fully stocked with everything you’d need in the kitchen, bathrooms, etc. The only hiccup we experienced was with the office, not the host. We’d planned on renting a golf cart but upon calling the office I was told the woman who rents them out is only there from 10-2, and we’d be arriving at 3. Was also told we could not reserve one ahead of time even though there were plenty to rent, per the owner. We did not end up getting a golf cart, which was disappointing since everyone drives golf carts here and it’s easier to get around with one. Bobby was great to communicate with and always replied to any questions I had in a timely fashion. We enjoyed the private/community beach access with the key card Bobby graciously left for us. A box of Lindt chocolates was left for us upon our arrival, which we much appreciated. My kids had fun on the playground. The indoor pool was closed so we never used that during our stay.

The perfect month long stay before tourist season. First: Essentials. WIFI - dependable, fast for work. Clean - very clean, neat Crews tidied up outside - mulching, raking - post winter tasks Cozy - with a low country beach cottage vibe... comfy day beds/mattresses on both Queen (2nd Bedroom) and King (Primary) Spacious - Family room can easily handle a family of 6-8, with a dog or two & kids... much larger than photos suggest Kitchen - more than adequate with counter top appliances, full size refrigerator, counter space to prep meals & gas grill off the screened in breezeway to do a few steaks Second - Location - we walked to Garden City pier w/ beach chairs, beach bag & cooler...not quite a mile. safe with low traffic & sidewalks.. rent a golf cart to haul kids & gear - can use golf cart to run to Kroger for groceries...or up to Neal & Pam's in Surfside. Garden City is a much quieter pace than Myrtle Beach center... Airport was a 20 minute drive to pick up family.

Sugar Aisle was perfect for my family! The kitchen was fully stocked with every small appliance I wanted - meals were so easy to prepare with everything right there. The location was great and we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. The heated pool was a hit with the kids and they were in it whenever possible! They also spent lots of time on the 2 bicycles provided riding around the island. My family has been vacationing in OIB for 20 yrs and this was one of my favorite trips! I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Stephanie was incredibly responsive to any questions or concerns I had and the entire trip could not have gone better. I would highly recommend this as a great place to stay!

I recently stayed at this amazing Airbnb in Myrtle Beach, and it was everything I hoped for and more. The location couldn't have been better—just a short walk to the beach. The host, Mark, was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed for a smooth stay. The space itself was cozy and well-appointed. The interior was beautifully decorated, clean, and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials. The pool area was also a nice touch, especially after a day in the sun. Overall, I had an amazing stay, and I’d definitely recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the area. It was the perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and relaxation.

Place was very nice and though we did not need anything, Cindy reached out multiple times to make sure all was well. Seven men on a golf trip and my son’s birthday. Plenty of space and pool was really nice after golfing in the morning and afternoons. Kitchen table was big and had plenty of room for meals and cards at night. Home was as advertised. Plenty of room for all of us. Short ride to many golf courses and Muriel’s Inlet for the restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.

Your guide to Cherry Grove Beach, North Myrtle Beach

All About Cherry Grove Beach, North Myrtle Beach

Cherry Grove Beach is a small waterfront neighborhood along the Atlantic coast of North Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. Its name comes from the native cherry trees that produce red and black varieties of the fruit. The area is known for its swimmable, white-sand beach topped with pockets of tall Marram grass, attracting visitors for beach activities like kayaking, surfing, and boogie boarding.

Near the beach is one of the main focal points of the neighborhood, the 985-foot Cherry Grove Fishing Pier, complete with a second-story lookout point for sweeping views of the Atlantic. Saltwater fishers set up along the pier, reeling in marine life like mackerel, trout, and blue crabs.

The two-mile, pristine shores of Cherry Grove Beach meet at the intersection of the Atlantic Ocean and acres of protected marshlands of The Russell Burgess Coastal Preserve. The preserve’s marsh water pools are surrounded by wispy green grass, with a wooden boardwalk perfect for spotting local waterbird species like the bright white snowy egret, the yellow-crowned night heron, and the black-and-blue-colored purple martin.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Cherry Grove Beach, North Myrtle Beach

The weather in Cherry Grove Beach fluctuates throughout each season. Summers are hot and humid and are usually some of the rainiest months of the year. Local events are in full swing during this time, with the Sounds of Summer Concert Series featuring live music every Friday evening from mid-June to mid-September. Fall is warm and comfortable during the day and cools off as the sun sets. Cherry Grove Beach waters are cold for swimming this time of year, making it a perfect time for a change of scenery by visiting one of the area’s wineries, known for their white wine varieties.

Winters are cold yet mild overall. Holiday shows begin ramping up in November and last through January at the Carolina Opry, Myrtle Beach’s live music venue, which has weekly Christmas shows. Spring is warm and the least rainy season of the year, so this is the ideal time for exploring the outdoors. A day trip to the Myrtle Beach State Park will have native wildflowers on display, like the colorful gaillardia and Indian pink flower.

You can reach the saltwater marshes and undeveloped beaches at Waites Island, located directly across the shores of Cherry Grove Beach, by kayak or paddleboard. The one-mile loop trail at the Heritage Shores Nature Preserve sits on a small slice of island in the Cherry Grove neighborhood. You can follow the trail on foot as it alternates between sandy paths surrounded by tall grassy meadows and overwater boardwalks, covering seven acres of marshlands. As the trails lead you close to the marsh waters, you can birdwatch for pelicans, white ibis, and great egrets.
