Private suite vacation rentals in California

The driving directions were clear & the parking area was paved. Access was easy, via a lock box. The rental was clean, fresh & had “more amenities” than the norm. The living room had a comfortable couch, large HDTV, Netflix, Hulu & lots of DVD’s. Inside lighting was provided by a large sliding glass door, a huge window & lamps & ceiling lights throughout. There was a dining table & a desk. The Queen size bed was comfortable, with lots of blankets for chilly nights. A dresser & a closet provided clothing storage. The kitchenette had lovely dishes, flatware, “glass” drinking glasses, pots/pans, hand towels, 2 choices of soap, washer & dryer, refrigerator, microwave & numerous other amenities. The small bathroom contained VERY soft towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash & hand lotion – all name brands. I was looking for a quiet, clean place to relax for a few days & this rental provided exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend this rental and Host. 10/10

We enjoyed our stay at Merick’s. Very clean private, serene and comfortable. Close to a market and restaurants. Merick was very friendly and welcoming and even checked in with us to make sure everything was ok with us. Would definitely stay at Merick’s again!

My friend and I loved staying at Mary's house. The 3 Ponds and visiting geese were a wonderful way to spend time contemplating nature. There are other activities available. We did not use them, but it looked like you could have a lot of fun there.

Second time staying at this Air b n b. Quiet, peaceful location but close to Avila Beach, Arroyo Grande and SLO.

Kate’s place has a view you can’t get anywhere else. We watched pelicans and surfers from our deck. The sunsets were memorable, some we enjoyed while soaking in the hot tub. The bed was very comfortable. There is beautiful art everywhere you look inside and out. The fireplace was gorgeous, loved it! We walked to Starbucks for coffee and enjoyed the local restaurants. A short drive to La Jolla Cove was so worth it to see the hundreds of sea lions up close. While we were there, we had a fabulous meal at Jose’s. Coronado Island was a short drive, and we enjoyed the shops there. Overall, it was a magical stay, and I highly recommend it.

Irene's place was lovely and very cozy! She was very responsive and proactive in her instructions. She even allowed us to check in early which was very much appreciated! The home is just down the road from Liberty Station which has tons of food and entertainment options and nearby Sunset Cliffs. A very pleasant stay!

This cozy space in the hosts’ home is attractive and thoughtfully appointed with amenities like bedside lamps and helpful brochures and information. The bed is super comfortable and the French doors look out over a lush and inviting outdoor area. The neighborhood is nice and quiet but centrally located and close to the beach. There is a wonderful local farmers market on Sunday mornings. You do have to park on the street and we were not able to park close to the house on one night (out of four). Overall this is a delightful place to settle in for your vacation to Santa Cruz.

The stay was perfect for me and my partner. We wanted to relax in peace and private after a long road trip and Paul’s home was exactly what we needed. The private pool and jacuzzi were amazing. There was also a friendly cat “midget” around the house. Paul responded to our requests immediately and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible! Much recommended stay if you want privacy and great views of sunrise!

Tim was very responsive and helpful when I communicated I was checking in a little later than expected. He ensured the lights were on since it was after dark. The place was clean and comfy. Had some nice little snacks, water, tea and coffee available as well as all the things you have in a kitchen. One of the best beds I have slept in between air bnb’s and hotels. Enjoyed the peaceful setting. I was able to relax and just enjoy the beautiful views. One of the lights outside started going out and Tim immediately fixed it before I even communicated anything to him. Very proactive. Check-out was easy. The deer were a nice touch that slept right outside the cabin. I would definitely stay there again.

Design of guest suite was private and was nice to have extra touch of kitchen with coffee pods and microwave. Rooftop was beautiful and still felt private as well as separate patio space downstairs. Easy to drive around to pismo beach and other nearby sights. Clean white beach house decor.

This cozy, well maintained place is 20 min from Healdsburg, less than an hour from Sonoma, and 4-5 min from Forestville. The surroundings are beautiful, and the area is completely peaceful. We particularly liked the huge shower. We’re used to a king sized bed, so the full sized bed was cozy! Highly recommended place, and great value for this area.

Our stay at Steena’s was great. Very clean and updated guest suite with privacy. She was responsive to all questions and she had great accommodations.

What a great spot when visiting Sonoma! Really comfortable space, super cute and functional decor, loved the fire place and outside seating, really close to downtown, just perfect for our four nights in Sonoma. Highly recommend!

My wife and I celebrated our 30 anniversary and chose the Sebastopol area for it's central location (it is so close to everything). Viviane and Marc were very sweet and went out of their way to make us feel at home. They provided everything we needed for our 5 day stay! We were greeted when we arrived and they surprised us with a chilled bottle of champagne! There were freshly picked strawberries, eggs, yogurt and homemade granola in the fridge (we made breakfast every morning). The deck overlooked the valley and rolling hills and the hot tub was a great place to relax in the evening after longs days of hiking, exploring, and hitting those wineries! Saying we had a fantastic time is an understatement. We would definitely stay again-

Incredible airbnb in the hills of Sonoma! The apartment interior and yard were both beautiful. The area is very peaceful and away from the main towns, but we never had issues getting Ubers. Definitely recommend for a relaxing or romantic trip, I will be staying here if I go back!

We had a really great time here! It was awesome to let our dogs freely run around the large fenced-in yard of the property. Emily was very helpful and provided lots of great local places to check out. The only thing I wish this place had was a stove/oven to cook dinner since it’s impossible to get food delivered here and the nearest restaurant is over a 20 min drive away.
