Allison was such a lovely host. Her place was easy to find, gps took us right there. The views were amazing, you could sit outside and have a cup of coffee while the sun came up over the mountains, birds singing all around. Allison was was super available if there were any issues (there weren't any) and keeps her place spotless. The area is lovely, farms and mountains all around. You're right across from a vineyard, minutes from a lovely little town, 20 minutes from Harrisonburg and about 45 minutes from Luray Cavern and Shenandoah national park. Anyway, I highly recommend the area and even more I recommend staying with Allison.

The cabin was really nice with comfortable accommodations and everything you need. There is a road that runs in front of and behind the cabin that has quite a bit of traffic on the weekend as the road is an entrance to a park/campground and it was a holiday weekend. This was a benefit to us though as we love to hike and could walk to or drive within a couple of minutes to several really great trails! Having the heated in ground pool for my daughter was amazing and when we had some issues with Bees the owners handled it right away. This is definitely a cabin in the woods by the water so come prepared with bug repellant. We did venture out to some local wineries and a lavender farm/winery but would have been just as content to enjoy the cabin and the property! Overall we really enjoyed this place and would totally go back when we are visiting the Harrisonburg area.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was cute, had beautiful views, and was the perfect distance from my son’s mountain bike race. It was peaceful, comfortable, and just what we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at the Farmhouse for our annual “Sisters weekend” with my 3 sisters and our young kids. The house has old charm with modern amenities. There was plenty to entertain the kids ages 1.5-5, from games, toys, and a huge yard to run and play in. They really made traveling with kids easy with all the extra stuff they provide (pack and play, high chair, kids plates/silverware, and toys). The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. We enjoyed the fire pit on two nights and it was the perfect setting for a spring evening. The only surprise was that the second floor bathroom was inside of one of the rooms. So you had to go in someone else’s room if you needed it during the night. It wasn’t a big deal for us, but just something to be aware of depending on who you are traveling with.
