We had a magical stay at Harry’s beautiful farm. Everything in the cottage was pristine. Harry kindly provided fresh eggs, home made cider and fresh brown bread. My children enjoyed playing in the gardens with the sweetest dogs on earth. There were fields of daffodils, an enchanting Norman ruin , and birdsong to awaken us in the morning. We could not ask for a better place to stay, and we hope to someday return!

If I could give this a 6 out of 5 I would. This was the most gorgeous and beautiful Airbnb I have ever been to. Pictures do not do it justice.

Andrew's place is a great starting point to visit the various sights in the wider area. The chill farm is quietly located and has a large garden with many beautiful plants.

Outstanding, in every sense of the word! The Hidden Haven is incredible & our only regret is that we didn't book for longer! The place is positioned perfectly in the hills & is so peaceful & private. It's clear that Claire & Steve have poured their hearts & souls into this place & the result is something unique & amazing. We will never forget sitting in that hot tub under the most incredible starry night sky! We were blessed with great weather during our stay - the views on all sides were absolutely stunning. We loved being able to take a short stroll round the farm & sitting out on the decking area watching the birds. It was a great base for exploring the nearby Glengarriff Nature Reserve (20 min drive) & doing a hike up to Barley Lake too. The breakfast hamper was absolutely delicous, as were the Derry Duff steaks, a real treat! Claire was a fantastic & friendly host, she provided us with so much helpful info in advance, including super helpful directions. Hope to visit again soon!

We had a wonderful stay at this snug! The place is super cozy, perfect for relaxing and enjoying family time. The hot tub made the experience even better — it was absolutely amazing! Everything was spotless and the host was very welcoming. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable getaway. We would definitely love to come back!

Kevin was a wonderful and super responsive host. Made everything about stay so easy and flexible. It was the perfect house for my husband, 2 kids (age 14,10) and my mother who cannot do stairs so the downstairs bedroom and bath were perfect. The house was cozy and private and our favorite part was waking up to see beautiful fields full of cows out the window. We would stay again!

Another Amazing Stay! This was our second time at Katie’s Cottage, and it was just as magical as the first. Spotlessly clean, incredibly cozy, and full of thoughtful details that make you feel right at home. The kitchen is a dream – so well equipped! We especially loved the peaceful vibe, easy parking, and the return visit from the sweet little robin. Katie is such a kind and caring host – we couldn’t ask for more.

Absolutely magical weekend at Hawkes Cottage! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality by John, Monika, and their gorgeous dog Mollie. The cottage itself is the perfect blend of cosy charm and comfort—beautifully maintained, well-equipped, and full of character. Our dog Finley had the time of his life! The peaceful surroundings, open fields, and the freedom to roam the land made it a dream getaway for him—and us too. Watching him explore happily alongside Mollie added to the joy of the stay. The atmosphere at Hawkes Cottage is simply serene. Whether you're sipping coffee in the morning sun or enjoying the quiet calm of the evenings, it's a place that lets you truly unwind. You can feel the love and care that John and Monika have poured into every detail. We left feeling rested, grateful, and already planning our return. If you're looking for a dog-friendly escape with heart, soul, and space to breathe—this is it. Five stars all the way!

Comments from our stay (parents with adult kids): We loved it! Living history, Really freaking cool, Comfortable beds. Quite spacious. Cozy, Must have good knees! Neighbouring cows herded home in the evenings, A treat to watch birds from the battlements, (Metallic sounds referenced earlier likely are radiators) Easy communication and good instructions from hosts. State of the architecture 1400’s, updated to beautifully habitable in the 2000’s. Thank you for allowing us the share a slice of your local history. Each of us truly enjoyed staying here.
