Vacation rentals in Arnold

For us, Geri's place was an experience stay. it is very remote in exceptionally beautiful country. We were in the area to visit a relative and enjoyed our stay. We did have a problem with the door lock in the evening which Geri promptly responded to and corrected. Overall our experience was good. The king size mattress was very comfortable, although it would benefit from some nicer bedding. For example, there was no mattress pad and one of the blankets was an old electric blanket (with no cord provided) which was scratchy/uncomfortable. We encountered a number of crickets and other bugs but this could be in part from the air conditioner units not being sealed around the edges. And it's a farm/rural area, so some bugs would be expected. I think groups of hunters might really enjoy this property. (We loved the remoteness and the cute kitty who hung around the house.) We absolutely loved our stay at John and Mary Lou’s bunkhouse on their farm. The property is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. John and the dogs welcomed us when we arrived and John showed us the space which was very clean and just like the photos. He had set up a space heater and also gotten a fire ready to light before we arrived but we were perfectly warm without either and slept very soundly in the extremely comfortable bed. We asked John about prairie chickens and he gave us detailed directions about finding them. We set out in the wind and mist early the next morning not realizing John had emailed us to say he would drive us to the spot as the weather was bad! We heard the prairie chickens booming and were making our way back when we saw John in his car with his granddaughter. We all drove back and saw the prairie chickens again and some of the rest of the farm. Our stay was very short but very special. We’ll always remember John’s kind generosity and the beauty of the farm.

We had one person forget some personal item- they had everything we needed. No extra trips to the store. We also had a sick toddler and they had everything we needed, extra laundry soap to wash bedding and clothes. The house was comfortable and we were able to cancel our plans and have family come visit us since we couldn't take the sick toddler out. There is also a nice yard for kids to play in. We appreciate this property and the hosts.

John's place is the perfect getaway for those of us that enjoy peace and quiet with beautiful views. Everything is as advertised or better. The location is very remote and that worked well for us. The showers are great and the wifi is strong. The beds are very comfortable and everything works. Remember the location is 30 minutes or more from any sort of town so be sure to bring your supplies with you. We can not wait to go back and we highly recommend staying at John's.

We enjoyed our stay at Tom and Cindy’s cottage. A very clean and quiet space with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. A top notch unit.

We had a peaceful stay at the Sandhills Retreat. The sandhills are so tranquil and the house is a great spot to show off the natural beauty of central Nebraska. We had everything we needed for meals and entertainment. Marian was great at communicating with us, providing checkin information proactively so our group could trickle in throughout the day.

Great for our large family. Our children and grandchildren. We had ample room, private bedrooms for when grandchildren needed a nap.
