Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Appalachian Mountains

I absolutely loved my stay here. The drive is definitely hilly but the road is paved, so no problems there. The house was clean and cozy and the beds comfortable. My favorite part was relaxing on the screened porch while the rain gently fell and I could hear all the toads from the nearby pond. There’s some close-by neighbors but the trees afford privacy and the elevation made us feel well above everything. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit one night while we roasted hot dogs and smores and star gazed. The best part of course is the fenced yard. My dog Darla had so much more space to chase the ball than our yard in the burbs and my older dog Gus loved patrolling the perimeter, spying on squirrels and wood peckers. We will absolutely come here again the next time we need a break from the city.

The cabin has a cozy feeling and is located nice and secluded at the end of a neighborhood, with plenty of privacy. Due to the weather we did not get to enjoy the outside but the bonfire looks like a great place to sit outside with family or friends. When booking, we didn’t realize the upstairs bedroom does not have a door, although this did not bother us because it was just my wife and I. We would go definitely come back here. Host was friendly and easy to communicate with.

We've stayed here multiple times, and each time and season has been enjoyable in its own way. Sitting riverside around the fire ring into evening is wonderful. There's so much to do outside that it's easy to forget how lovely a space the cabin is...you're right in the middle of a town but elevated so it's possible to have privacy to hang out on the porch and read or watch the geese and ducks float by. It's been years now, and this cabin is still our favorite getaway spot.

This place was so clean and beautiful especially in person. It was so quiet for me and my boyfriend and my dog loved it also.

I believe one of the best compliments to any AirBnB host is returning to their property: this was our fourth visit to the Clack Cabin, and surely not our last! We love the Clack Cabin for its coziness, comfort, and location. It's a small space, but has absolutely everything one needs. It's incredibly peaceful and relaxing, with the stream providing such a soothing soundtrack. The Clapper Hollow State Park a few steps away from the cabin has many easy and quiet paths to explore (we had the forest entirely to ourselves on Easter Sunday!). Clara is a wonderful host, very welcoming and helpful with local tips and knowledge. We already look forward to our next visit!

What a great anniversary get away! We stayed at Carla’s beautiful, rustic, octagon “cabin” equipped with everything we could possibly need. We loved that it is super dog friendly with as many thoughtful details for our “girls” as for us! Our pups loved it! There were even areas just for four legged friends on both levels. We enjoyed the hot tub and a wood burning stove on the chilly nights. The kitchen was fully stocked and then some! A few mornings we cooked breakfast on the griddle on the deck just outside the kitchen. The wrap around porch was amazing! So many sitting areas to enjoy the views. So peaceful! The bed was very comfortable and had a remote control to adjust the head and feet on each side. Carla was extremely responsive to any questions we had. We loved the privacy and close proximity to trails and restaurants. This place is a true gem in Hocking Hills!

I cannot recommend this place more if you are looking for a cozy, clean, and beautiful mountain getaway. The cabin is just a short drive from pretty hikes and yummy restaurants, but in our opinion we could've had just as much fun just staying in the cabin all weekend! I've never been to an air bnb that was so well-stocked, from seasonings, to extensive kitchenware, to fun soaps, to games, to yoga mats, to books/magazines, to essential oils- you name it, they probably have it! The place was beautiful, and the little touches really made it feel like a home away from home. On top of this, Allison was probably the most friendly host I've ever had. Wish we could've stayed longer!

Rebecca’s cabin was lovely! Exactly as described with a great deck overlooking the river. Our trip was unfortunately cut short by threat of flood, but Rebecca and Leanne were extremely kind and helpful through the process. Thank you!!

The Cherry Harmar Charmer is an adorable house. Very clean and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again.

We had a great time visiting Brevard. The home was in a great location near everything. We were able to hike, enjoy waterfalls and shop in Brevard and Hendersonville.

I was traveling for work in DC area and needed place close by. Really liked the place. I would love to go back if ever I need to stay close to DC.

House was clean and comfortable. The location was great… easy walk to breweries, restaurants, etc. Also extremely close to the light rail. And we enjoyed coffee in the spacious backyard.

We felt at home the minute we walked in. In the notebook, there are brochures with things to do. Kevin and Joy are quick to respond to any questions you may have.

We had a lovely stay at Elizabeth’s charming home! Tucked away on a quiet street, it was the perfect spot for our quick trip to see a show at Bojangles’ Coliseum/Ovens Auditorium—just a 10-minute walk, which meant no stress over driving or parking. The house itself is cozy and full of character, with lots of thoughtful, unique touches. Everything was super clean, the beds were comfy, and the kitchen was stocked with everything you'd need (even though we didn’t cook much on this short visit). We didn’t get a chance to enjoy the beautiful backyard and sitting area, but it definitely added to the home’s inviting vibe. Elizabeth was also very responsive and kind when we reached out. Highly recommend this spot, and we’d absolutely stay again the next time we’re in town!

we travel to Lynchburg several times a year and always stay at one of these properties. They are clean, comfortable and in a good location. Great for families or singles alike.

John’s place was the perfect respite for our multi-day stay! The clean and cozy space is perfectly situated close to trails and parks for our Australian shepherd, but only a short drive to all the shopping you’d need (e. g. ShopRite for groceries and necessities). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and know you will too!

Leisa’s home suited our needs to a T!! We were in town to attend a wedding at the London Town and Gardens, which was just a half mile away. The rehearsal dinner in downtown Annapolis was also a short distance away. Everything was fresh and clean, the beds were comfortable, and the showers were really great. The lack of seating in the main room wasn’t a problem for us as we didn’t spend much time there during the day. The area around the pool looked really comfortable and inviting for guests staying during the summer season! Would stay there again.

We had an amazing time for our first trip to the Mountains. The 7 of us(3 adults, 4 children) all slept comfortably. The house has plenty of space. This house was perfect for a family who has younger children. From the pool to the hot tub and the game room they never got bored. We will definitely be back again!! Owners sent clear instructions for arrival and departure.

Great deck and view of the lake - peaceful and relaxing. The house had all the amenities we needed - great grill, large sitting area and TV to hang out with family. The kids enjoyed playing in the downstairs area and roasting marshmallows out back.
