Vacation rentals in Zafarraya

One of my favourite rentals of all time . Location couldn’t be better - in the heart of old Marbella , particularly ideal to see the Easter Processions. A real home away from home . Would definitely come back .

A great apartment that is equipped with everything you need. The view from the balcony is fantastic and the beach is easily accessible in 15 minutes on foot. The landlords are very friendly and have many tips. There are many attractions in the surrounding area. Stalactite caves Schmeterlingsgärten and of course Malaga with its many museums. We had a really enjoyable stay at Villa Mariposa. The property matched the description and photos accurately, providing a comfortable base for our trip. The villa was clean, well-maintained, and practical. We particularly appreciated the large sliding doors which opened up the space and offered fantastic views. A definite highlight was having fresh lemons from the trees in the garden for our G&Ts! The amenities provided were good, and everything was in working order. The location was very convenient. It was an easy walk to local small shops for essentials, the beach, and surprisingly, a Buddhist temple which was interesting to see. The area felt safe and was relatively quiet. Ricardo a great host – responsive and helpful when needed. Communication was clear, and the check-in/out process was straightforward. Villa Mariposa is a solid choice for a stay in the area.

Antonio was a fantastic host—very communicative and helpful throughout the stay. The apartment is nicely decorated and the location is truly unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, just steps from the cathedral, restaurants, bars, and pretty much everything you’d want to explore. That said, there were a few downsides to note. There was a persistent sewage smell in the apartment, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times. We also had some trouble with mosquitoes indoors. Lastly, while the photos made the space look quite bright, in reality, it lacked natural light and felt a bit darker than expected.

There were six of us ladies. We were very impressed and pleased with our accommodation. The property had everything that we needed. It was spotlessly clean with comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen. The garden area was well equipped with plenty of garden furniture and shaded areas, which made for a lovely relaxing time around the pool area. The taxi's Ruben recommended were always on time. We highly recommend this place and hope to come back to Ruben's villa again.
