Wij wonen in het achterhuis. Ideaal voor fietsers en wandelaars. Slechts 3 km van Steenwijk centrum en 3.9. km van het NS station. Dichtbij Giethoorn, de Weerribben en Hunebedden in het natuurgebied Holtingerveld. The Colony of Frederiksoord, listed on UNESCO world heritage, is only 6.5 km away.

In the immediate vicinity, there is a good chance that you will encounter deer or a kingfisher. The location is in a natural area with spacious walking and cycling possibilities. Larger cities are easily accessible, Leeuwarden 30 min., Groningen 40 min. There is a direct bus to Heerenveen with ice rink Thialf.

Huge windows provide stunning Dutch views onto the river, the grass meadows with cows & sheep and a picturesque village in the distance. The river is quiet water so have a sauna & a swim, take out the kayak, big canoe or SUPboard. We have a heatpump for the floor heating, and used upcycled items such a charming wood-stove, a fantastic bath, a fully-equipped kitchen, bikes, a firepit & trampoline.

Near Elfstedenstadjes Bolsward, Sneek, IJlst and Workum, is this beautiful rural holiday home with beautiful vistas. The vacation home is located in the back of our farm with dairy farm. It is a very neat, fully furnished house with its own kitchen, bathroom and cozy pellet stove. You won't be lacking anything in the home. The farm is a great starting point for the many cycling, hiking or canoeing routes through the beautiful Frisian Lakes area.
