Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Windermere

Beautiful house with home from home comforts in a lovely well kept residential area. Lots to keep us entertained… hot tub, pool, arcade games, darts, swing ball and lots of board games, which brought back childhood memories… hadn’t seen some of the games in years! And also some newer games which we hadn’t seen before. Everything was in the house as we were expecting. We were very lucky with the weather, so spent lots of time exploring local areas too. Lytham and Lytham St Anne’s are lovely… not as busy as Blackpool. Son and daughter explored Blackpool and Blackpool zoo. Model village near the zoo is worth a visit too. All are about 15-20 minutes drive. The Grapes in Wrea (about 5 mins from the house) does lovely bar food and welcomes dogs… treats, bowls and water provided.

Gorgeous property in a great location, easily walkable from the train station, city centre and bus stops onto the university of Lancaster. Responsive and helpful host. comfortable beds and great facilities. Perfect for a stay with friends or a family.

Awesome spot just away from the promenade. Safe area and easy to get to. We used it as a base for the Blackpool marathon and was perfect for all we needed 👍🏻

Really spacious place in a great location!

We really enjoyed our stay In Cleveleys, the house is in a great spot, close to the beach and within reach of all of the amenities the town has to offer.

I would highly recommend this beautiful home from home. Fleur & John were amazing, very kind & attentive. They even decorated the house for my birthday, plus a couple of extra treats. I felt very spoilt. The place was warm, welcoming, comfy & very clean. The mini pool table was a real hit with my family. We'll definitely be back.

We spent only one night at Naomi’s place, arriving very late after a family event, but it was a pleasant overnight stay with super comfortable beds and a great shower in the morning. I left a necklace behind and Naomi and Darren kindly looked for it and sent it to me by registered post, for which I am very grateful.

Wished we had more time to spend at this accommodation. The place was fantastic and Mark was very accommodating and responsive. Probably the best host to deal with in terms of replying and providing information. I would definitely stay again next trip. Super easy to find and check in/out.

A lovely quirky house as described, well equipped with everything you might need. Sandra was quick getting back with any queries and it was lovely to meet her as we were leaving. Once we had parked the car didn't use it again until we left. Lots of local info in the house, very central to Keswick. We had a great time and would definitely like to go back again 😊

Nice clean place to stay near centre of town. Easy check-in.

We stayed with 5 people at Zoe's (3 adults and 2 kids) and had a lovely time. The location is great to explore the Lake District, walking distance to hikes, the lake, supermarket, pubs etc, and also to bus stops so you can explore places further away.

The host Gail was amazing . So helpful in every way and went out of her way for us I am very appreciative of all her help . The house was perfect as well . Would definitely stay there again . Thank you again for all your help .

Everything including stay , accessibility to nearby shops and site seeings were excellent. They provided dedicated parking. Only thing we found missing was whiskey glasses in the kitchen. But happy that we had all other utensils .

I’ve stay in lots of different places in the area but this is by far my favourite I will definitely be going back

We had a very short stay in Helen's apartment as my friend & I had been invited to a wedding on the Saturday evening which was closely followed by a Trail Marathon on Sunday morning. The apartment was a perfect location and had everything we needed & more and we were disappointed that we did not have more time to spend in the apartment due to our early start & evening out. We had everything we needed to make something to eat after the check in - we checked in with no drama - and again to make our breakfast. We had a comfy night's sleep in lovely bedding too. Thank you so much Helen - hopefully we will return to make the most of your hospitality.

Perfect location for exploring the seafront, directly opposite the gorgeous art deco Midland Hotel. Very spacious, clean apartment with everything you could need for a self-catering stay. Would definitely recommend and stay again next time in the area.

Lovely luxury modern facilities and everything we needed for cooking treats away from home. A really comfy stay for all of us including our two doggies. Great for them to able to go for a walk right from the doorstep. Quiet and peaceful. Lovely views from a cosy apartment. Thank you so much for facilitating the perfect family weekend away to celebrate a birthday and some quality time together. Great to be both within a stones throw of Kendal for some lovely doggie friendly cafes and one of the best butcher shops around as well as being in the quietness of the countryside.

Lovely home from home, very comfy bed and spotlessly clean home for the weekend. Easy to find in a quite safe road with off road parking and private entrance. Great find and will visit again.

We had a wonderful 5 days here. The apartment is absolutely beautiful, spacious, beautifully decorated and a real home from home. It was immaculately clean, the hosts had left us some treats which we were very grateful for. Lottie gave us lots of recommendations before we arrived and they were really useful as we visited The Brew Brothers for Breakfast which was just a stones throw from the apartment and really good, did the Orrest Head Walk and the views were spectacular, went to The Brown Horse Inn for lunch and it was well worth it, such lovely food, we also went to Mathilde’s for coffee/cake when we were in Grasmere, wonderful ! Kendal is a perfect base to visit Windermere, Grasmere, Ambleside etc. We will return ! x

This apartment is very spacious - bigger than it appears in the photos. It is well equipped, warm and comfortable. There are useful instructions for all the appliances etc. It was lovely to have a view of the bay from the kitchen and one of the bedrooms. The location is central but peaceful and the private parking space is very useful. You can walk to the promenade in under 10 minutes. Communication with Carina was very prompt, friendly and efficient.

Liam was very responsive and helped us all the way. The place is lovely and it was a bonus to have the little balcony for our dog. Lovely bedrooms and very spacious. Shower is also great. We had a sunny weekend so ended up not using the club facilities like we wanted but it was there on offer. The only downside was the duvet sheets were a bit too big for the duvet itself so felt weird in bed but that’s just because we fussy. Loved out stay and will recommend!

Fantastic time staying here on my 2nd visit. I stayed for a few weeks and felt right at home the whole time. Danielle was always on hand if I had a question. She was always very friendly and polite. Would highly recommend! I look forward to staying again.
