Vacation rentals with lake access in Waterland

This is lovely family home in lovely Dutch country village, Broek in Waterland, just a short drive or bus connection from Amsterdam. The house was under partial renovation (which the owners warned me for) when I was there for ten days this summer, but the fully-equipped kitchen, the spacious living room, and the amazing view from the garden on water and fields really made the stay very enjoyable. My friends loved the art, the books and general vibe of the house. Maartje and Maarten were excellent and very relaxed hosts who showed me around the house before they left on vacation. Oh and private parking is also a plus. Highly recommended.

The time in the quiet space was a wonderful contrast to lively Amsterdam. Our feet and bodies tired of sightseeing enjoyed the great hot tub. Fantastic how easy Monickendamm can be reached by public transport!

House that illustrates all the charm of this beautiful country. It's perfect

The house itself is very well maintained, lovingly furnished and offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The kitchen is well equipped so we could easily cook ourselves, and also the beds were very comfortable. The surroundings are idyllic and quiet, perfect for walks and cycling. The host was very friendly and helpful and gave us valuable tips for excursions in the area. We felt very comfortable.

We spent a few days in this very nice apartment and were really impressed! The hosts were very nice and helpful. Nearby there are many restaurants and small shops, The location is wonderful, Walking to the sea, etc… it was fun :)) Love to come back!:))

It was one of the best apartments we stayed at. It was clean, beautiful and has a great view. Everything was just perfect. Amsterdam is not very far with the car. The sorroundings were beautiful. Almere is a wonderful small city, that we never visited before. Will definitely book Kevin's place When we visit Amsterdam again. Kevin is a very good host and was very responsive. Five stars are just too less.

Lovely apartment in Monnickendam - spacious, clean. Beautiful surroundings and very comfortable - felt like home. Very good public transport links. The hosts were incredibly helpful, making our stay even better. Highly recommended!

Very beautiful place peaceful relaxing

We had a great stay at the property. The area is quiet, optimal with children. The nearest supermarket is within walking distance and you can also walk to the beach in about 20 minutes. There's everything you need in the house. We would come back. :-)

We spent 4 nights over Easter in Rudi‘s cottage and throughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is very bright and clean with a comfy bed. and sofa, a great shower and excellent lighting (this is something that I often miss in hotel rooms). The view from the terrace is outstanding. We were lucky with the weather and spent many hours there after cycling in the area or visiting nearby Utrecht. Rudi is a very friendly person, always smiling, giving us recommendations etc. Would re-visit anytime. Thank you, Rudi - also for the delicious welcome-cake!

What a wonderful stay we had in this very nice cottage. Wonderful atmosphere, beautiful decor and nice wan the water. Everything was present and clean. The beds (and linens) were fantastic. We had very nice days and will definitely be back.

John's place was lovely. We have what we need. A great place for family gateway. My little ones wished to stay longer!

Had a very nice stay. Good communication with Richard to enter the cottage (he was still on vacation himself). Very clean cottage with all the comforts. Beautiful large garden with views and lots of tranquility. In the summer it seems wonderful to come back here. A double bed is on the landing and this space cannot be locked. With slightly older children, that is easy to do, but given the bed is on an open staircase, I do not recommend this for very young children. Or you have to sleep under a very sloping wall as parents. Underfloor heating was very pleasant. We had a great time in the area! Thank you Richard!

Really nice house and peaceful surroundings, Edam is a Hidden Gem and just 20 mins away by bus to the city centre, the host also very responsible

Angelique is a super host, very responsive and on hand if you need anything answered or help with directions etc. I have not encountered a better air bnb host :-) The water cottage is peaceful and restful and has everything you need. For Amsterdam you must be either prepared to drive or happy to walk just over 1.3 miles into the town. Its a 45 min bus into Amsterdam which is pretty regular or you can drive 15 mins to a train station and make your way in from there. We had no problem with this at all but some might be put off. However the location and quiet peace by the water was super and worth it!
