Vacation rentals in Waterland

The property is idyllically located, 10 km outside of Amsterdam. Excellent bus connection to the center every 15 minutes. Great place to relax, after an exciting, exciting day in interesting Amsterdam.

Perfect studio for a short trip to Amsterdam. Very beautiful little village and calm. The place was very clean with a magnificent view especially when waking up. It is very convenient to get to the center of Amsterdam (about 15min by bus). I would highly recommend it and would be happy to come back.

We had a lovely stay at Johann's. We would definitly recommand staying there if you want to be near Amsterdam (less than 15 min by bus, around 30 min by bike), but to stay in a beautiful and quiet place in the countryside.

Great host and beautiful home We really appreciated the host flexibility for letting us arrive a little early… It was our first night after an overnight flight so that meant a lot to us Thanks Karel.

Alice is a top notch host in my opinion. She always responded immediately to our questions and needs. Very friendly, her son Luuk was equally helpful and they had an adorable puppy, Snuf we enjoyed playing with. Alice had many beautiful flowers and foliage to gaze at. The surrounding scenery was beautiful and serene. The neighborhood was very quiet with no hustle and bustle from the city. All in all my daughters and I had a wonderful stay. The only suggestions I have is that she put a privacy screen in front of the bathtub and more access to electrical plugs. Alice and I enjoyed a lovely cup of tea outside on the patio and had a wonderful conversation (in Dutch) about every topic we could think of. I especially like the wildlife that was a constant to enjoy. I think I have found a lifetime friend in Alice and Luuk. We had much in common. Very memorable vacation.

Short and simple: we had a lovely time. Hanro and Sophie are generous and relaxed hosts and were very kind and supportive with some special needs of ours (we needed a bucket, used their washing machine etc.). The interior of the garden house is rather minimal but efficient and I’m sure Hanro and Sophie would have helped out in a heartbeat if we e.g. needed special kitchenware. Lovely house, lovely terrace at the water with ducks and chicken, lovely village, nice bike rides in the area and lots of buses to Amsterdam. Great place!

Wonderful place in nature to relax and at the same time easy to combine with a city trip to Amsterdam.

I really enjoyed living in a houseboat and being surrounded by nature. It is a cute studio with a super friendly cat in the main house. Lots of ducks, birds and animals around. Very peaceful. Would definitely like to experience it in summer

We stayed here for 4 nights over King's Day weekend and couldn't have asked for a better stay! It was in a perfect location, away from the city's noise but at the same time the city was very accessible by bus. The canoe and bikes were a great addition and we were able to make use of both. Danny was a great host, I'd highly recommend a stay here!
