Our first trip to Shetland and well worth the effort (from Wiltshire) This lovely cottage in a quiet spot was a great place to stay. Plenty of room, all the facilities worked as expected and the view from the lovely conservatory was great. Scalloway is situated about 1/2 way up from the Southern tip of Shetland, so it's a perfect place to base a trip. The cottage is a 5 minute walk from the harbour side and there are two general stores in the centre of town. So if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place to relax after a hard day touring the islands, We can highly recommend it.

Nigel and Helena made us feel very welcome, and also sent good information and directions to the cottage, the cottage was clean warm and welcoming with a welcoming pack left for us. The shower and bathroom clean and lots of toiletries for use, Both bedrooms large and lots of storage space with electric blankets on the beds great for a winter holiday. The lounge comprises of 2 large sofas and comfortable. Kitchen very well equipped pots, pans, microwave, toaster, airfyer and everything you would expect to have. The garden beautifully kept with easy access lovely to sit and watch the resident pheasants. The whole home tastefully decorated in keeping with its age. Parking outside the home with motion sensor lights at night time. Walls has a lovely little harbour within minutes of the home if your into fishing or Kayaking it also has a shop. Would I book Rocklea again? Absolutely without a doubt. Thank you to Nigel and Helena for looking after us so well, a special thank you from Liam.

We loved Aurora cottage. The setting in the fishing hamlet of Walls is really lovely and the cottage is newly refurbished and comfortable. The spacious dining/sitting is perfect for families. The view of the harbour is amazing. I really liked running the circuit to the bridge of Walls via the Scord of Brouster, and we enjoyed the walks like to the Broch of Culswick. This is a very special property perfect for larger parties. Walls has a good shop with lots of items, and there is a local bakery specialising in gluten-free products. Michael is very responsive.
