I highly recommend staying at this property! The apartment was not only spotlessly clean, but also lovingly furnished – just like in the photos, if not even more beautiful. Irma was incredibly friendly, helpful and made sure we felt at home from the first moment. The location was perfect – quiet, yet central, with all the amenities you need in the immediate vicinity. We particularly appreciated the free bicycles, which were perfect for a bike tour. But the train, which was a 3-minute walk away, was also an absolute plus. You can get to Amsterdam in less than 30 minutes by train. We would come back anytime – a real oasis of well-being. Thank you for the great time!

Our week's stay at Betty and Gert's place was ideal: a cosy house with comfy beds, good coffee and a sweet welcome treat. A tiny garden with a table and chairs for morning coffee/evening glass of wine and a book. A great bakery for fresh morning croissants (and many more) and ice-cream place for evening ice-cream or milkshake just a 5-minute walk. The train station, park and nice residential area were already covered in reviews. We were with the car, so food shopping, commuting to the beach was easy (bikes would also work perfectly) But the best part of it all is the great hosts: hospitable and caring, fast responding, giving good tips (we loved the fish and chips place recommended by Gert!). Thank you for our relaxing week! We would be happy to come back if and when we are in the Netherlands!

My boyfriend, our four-legged friend and I stayed in Berrie's house for almost 5 days. It is a very nice little house with a mostly paved garden. The sun shines really nicely on the sitting area in the garden and invites you to linger. The living room is brighter and more friendly than it looks in the photos :) The beach can be reached in about an hour on foot... by car it only takes about 20 minutes. The public connection to Amsterdam includes a 15-minute walk to the train station and about 40 minutes by train, which takes you directly to the main train station. So, if you are looking for a quiet, beautiful area between Amsterdam and the beach, this is the place to be :) We highly recommend Berrie's house!

I grew up in this village so I am biast but it is a great place to stay for two. In the center of Driehuis, very cool church with fantastic churchbells around the corner and the best pastries at the bakery. The place has a great sauna big enough for two and a fast heater. The kitchen area is small but perfect for prepping breakfast and easy dinners. Good (n)espresso coffee machine. And the included bikes are a nice addition to bike around, Driehuis, the dunes, Haarlem! We ll come back here!
