Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Ulvik Municipality

We were really looking forward to our stay at Mariann’s cabin, and it did not disappoint! The cabin is absolutely beautiful. It is secluded, thoughtfully designed, and easy to get to. The star of the show is the stunning river that flows right behind the house. We could have spent all day everyday hanging out by the water. We had Ana amazing few days at the cabin and can’t wait to be back one day!

Our stay here was incredible. We booked for 4 people but this place could easily accommodate 8. The place was clean and tidy and offered everything we needed and more, with beautiful surroundings and a private and authentic feel. Things like extra towels, a pantry with some basic items like rice and pasta, food in the freezer and an easy to use washing machine and dryer really made us feel well looked after. We stayed when temperatures were between -10 and -18 Celsius but the house always felt cosy. The nearest Ski bus stop is a 7-10 minute walk away and the nearest supermarket and ‘town’ area are a 25 minute walk away. If you enjoy walking then the location is fine but we opted to hire a car from the airport to use for our transfers which I would highly recommend. This made collecting ski hire, shopping and travelling to the different slopes much easier as there is lots of parking areas. 10/10 stay. I have already recommended to friends and family.

Ida and Torstein are amazing hosts. They showed us the area, shared the history of the place and recommended beautiful hikes around. The house is charming and has plenty of genuine details, which made us curious about the place we had a pleasure to stay in. One can find everything what is needed in the house: kitchen equipment, stunning view from windows, cozy fireplace and positive vibes of slowing down 🥰 The place is definitely highly recommended! Amazing views, very comfortable and roomy with ample storage for luggage and clothes. This was our favorite place we stayed during our trip to Norway. Our kids loved being able to jump into the fjord. I loved drinking my coffee on the upper patio in the morning. Wish we would’ve booked one more night there. Highly recommend.

Thanks to Gunlaug for the beautiful room. The small village of flatobo is really beautiful. I woke up in the morning and saw that it had snowed. The green grass and mountains, with large snowflakes and daisies in front of the window, really made me want to stay here for a few more days.

Another great stay in Geilo. Lene is a great communicator and her apartment is the perfect place for a family trip to the slopes.

Evy was a wonderful hostess! The place was cozy, very clean and decorated with a lot of love for detail. You can tell right away that she cares about making her guests feel comfortable. Communication with her was super warm and straightforward – we felt well taken care of at all times. The location is fantastic – perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. A lovely, homely place to stay for the week. Very well equipped house, comfortable and the fire pits to sit round are lovely of an evening. Good access to the ski slopes with young children and the surrounding scenery is stunning. Susan couldn’t be more helpful with arrival information and practical advice and suggestions for the local area. Would love another holiday here. Thank you for letting us stay in your home.

I think first time im giving 5 stars for everything. If it were possible, i’d never leave Torill’s home. Everything was perfect. I just hope i can stay again there :)

The stay at May‘s place was fantastic. Stunning views, awesome house, great communication with the host. One of the best equipped accommodations I have ever stayed at. Lovely interior, spectacular outside and the bot house is a true gem. We had a great time and can highly recommend.

We had an excellent stay in Liv's family home. The location of the house is great, with a view of the fjord from the living room and from the (large) garden - even in the summer you could see part of the folgefonna glacier across the lake. Oystese and surrounding area offer plenty of things to do in summer: we went swimming (in the fjord, or indoors when it was raining), hiking, and we visited some very nice local points of interest (maritime museum, etc). The house is spacious and had everything we needed. You can tell Live and her family have invested significantly in the house and the garden. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and fresh raspberries from the garden. Our 2-year-old daughter loved the Moomin themed bedroom and all the available toys. Communication with Liv was smooth.
