Then, onward to the Bamboo Rafting location. Then, your cruise on a 30’ bamboo raft begins. You'll travel down the river checking out the lush scenery. Along the river, you will find vendors selling, souvenirs, jerk chicken, rum, punch, and more. The experience is one hour long, and transportation to the location is not included, but can be included for an additional fee. Limestone massages are offered by the Bamboo Rafting captain and the money is to be paid to him. It is cash only.

Salt River is a favorite chill spot among locals, this beauty has a public mineral spring that is perfect for soaking away your worries! We will start our journey on a scenic 25 minute drive through the Vere Plains where we will pass a old Great House and plantation. We will continue our journey off the main road for 10 minutes where you will have a beautiful view of sugar cane fields and the hill side. Once we arrive at our destination we will be situated at the best cook shop on the river where soup, and corn can be bought for snacking. After having a quick snack and drink a proper soak/ swim in the crystal blue mineral water is the go to thing to do! The river boasts a rope that locals use to swing and dive into the waters below them, there are tires within the river that are used to do back flips or simply a play toy for children! The rocks located along the bed and banking are ideal for a exfoliating scrub! We will finish our day by having a meal at Jahlina’s restaurant where escovitch fish, roast fish, chicken soup, fish soup, fried chicken, festival, Oysters and other local dishes can be purchased! Festivals are a crowd favorite, this fried dough can be eaten with fish, chicken and some locals like myself enjoy dipping it in soup! A cold sorrel, lemon or watermelon beer pairs well with the selection of food that will be available.

We begin the journey in Kingston and start the day at a beautiful restaurant overlooking the Blue Mountains where you have the option to purchase breakfast. In this workshop, guests will learn the beautiful art of Shibori Dyeing Techniques with Indigo dye. Shibori Dyeing includes the folding, clamping, stitching, and compressing of cloth before dipping into dye to achieve stunning patterns. After each of these techniques are demonstrated, each guest will have the opportunity to choose the technique admired most to dye onto 1 yard of cotton that can optionally be cut into smaller sample squares. Class begins with an introduction to the beauty and history of Shibori and Indigo Dye. After seeing the various ways of achieving patterns onto cloth, and demonstrations of each technique, we will dive into manipulating our fabrics to be dyed. We will use a beautiful dye bath of natural Indigo and watch the wonders of our fabric go from bright green to blue as it oxidizes. Each guest will unravel their fabrics to behold the beauty of the patterns that have been created. Come individually or with a group!

Your adventure starts when you arrive at the Ocho Rios Bay Marina, you’ll be greeted by a Splash Time Water Sports representative. Then, the fun will start. While on the boat, take in the scenery from the sea & learn about Ochie as you make our way to the snorkeling location, about 5 minutes up the sea. Once you arrive, you'll receive snorkeling & safety instructions from your lifeguard whom will snorkel with you & give you a tour of the sea. You’ll see tropical fish (feed them from your palm), find beautiful coral reefs, like, fire coral and brain coral that inhabit Jamaica’s sea. After snorkeling, enjoy a cruise to Lover’s Cave for a sneak-peek or a quick swim to explore, then sail over to Mahogany beach to dry in the sun or take a dip into the mineral pool. Only 1 water tube ride for approx. 15-20 minutes (approx. 2 miles). Extra rides is $25US pp. Your adventure starts when you arrive at the Ocho Rios Bay Marina. Once there, you’ll be greeted by a Splash Time Water Sports representative. You will hop on a water tube pulled by a speedboat for a thrilling ride (you control the speed) as you head north to the natural mineral pool. Then, Arrive at Mahogany Beach. Relax & vibe to reggae tunes (beach chairs $5). Swim and bathe in a natural mineral pool known for its healing powers. A bar & grill is available. Hello my name is Claion. I am a trained an experienced chef. My guest/s will have the opportunity to join me on an ultimate Jamaican experience through Jamaican food, good conversations and laughter. We will start the experience by taking a trip to the Ocho Rios Jamaican Food Market. My guest/s will have the experience of purchasing fresh goods to prepare their meals. My guest/s will also have the opportunity to learn about the significants of many Jamaican dishes and how to create them. My guest/s and I will create their meals at the guest/s residence . I can also prepare the meals if the guest choose to have me do so. Most of all my guest will enjoy an ultimate Jamaican meal, that includes tons of Jamaican spices and delicious flavors. As a friendly reminder, please note that all guest/s must provide a residence to cook their experience meal.
Tour a Jamaican Farm
We'll meet at Fruits Gallery in Mandeville, Manchester. There we'll get a fruit smoothie or coconut water as we have a short conversation about what we'll do. We'll then get a taxi to take us to the farm. Once at the farm, I'll show you the different produce, give you tips, you'll pick what's ripe then you'll some planting (optional). Do wear your boots or sneakers and appropriate clothing. You'll have so much fun and feel so refreshed afterwards. Other things to note Please ensure you are not allergic to grass or any item or insect we might meet on the farm.
