Our first stop, after a short drive from picking you up: fresh & energized for adventure, from a pre-arranged central (town) Tulum location, will be the Archeological Zone of Tulum-Mayan Port City Ruins. 
Through the mysterious, well-preserved, ruins of temples surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds, where we will be watched by the many inquisitive iguana that now call this temple home. During our exploration of the grounds I will share with you some of the known/unknown, story of the Maya, one of the most advanced and sophisticated cultures, our world has ever known, 
A short drive away from the temple is Tulum Beach where we will go by boat, piloted by Mayan guides, out to the 2nd largest coral reef on the planet, The Great Mayan Reef, where you will snorkel with brightly coloured fish of all sizes and also with the resident reef Manta Rays and Turtles!. 
Following our amazing reef snorkel, we will leave Tulum and visit one of the areas 160 nearby publicly accessible cenotes, I will explain what cenotes are, and how vital they are to the ecology for the peninsula, will jump from the edge of this hidden crystal clear water hole or perhaps just have a relaxing snorkel

This magical experience starts in our meeting spot in our town Chemuyil, where we will get ready for our adventure. My town is located: -20-25 mins approx. from Tulum (downtown) -35-40 mins approx. from Playa del Carmen (downtown) -2 hrs. approx. from Cancun (downtown) If you don’t have a car, or don’t know how to get to this place, please feel free to contact me to get more recommendations on transportation you can use. This is a LOCAL EXPERIENCE. You will get to know, not only these cenotes that have seen us grow up, but places with a lot of meaning to us. We will ride on our bicycles through our hometown making our way to three different cenotes around our community. Physical wear with the bicycles is minimum. We spend most of the time in the water. Riding the bicycles will be, 20-25 mins(total). Distance from cenote to cenote is 5-10 mins. We will go in an adventure into the Sian Ka'an Bioshpere Reserve located 15 minutes south of Tulum. We will get immersed in the Mayan jungle and experience its liveliness and history. First we will access the Reserve through the Muyil archaeological site which is one of the oldest Mayan cities in the area. We will see the Mayan Temples and walk the jungle trails through the ruins and the lookout spot. Then we will hop on a boat and sail into the Chunyaxché lagoon through commercial routes used by the Mayans. We will then jump in a stream of clear and fresh water where we will float through the mangrove. Other things to note We are visiting a Protected Area. We'll try to contemplate nature in a respectful manner without harming the habitat. Please avoid sunscreen and repellent unless bio-compatible.

After a journey, on a ground transportation, of more than 8km in the middle of the jungle, we will immerse ourselves in a cave and underground river system for a guided exploration, crossing the most surreal rock formations. Helmets well screwed on the head, and water shoes on, we will let our lights pierce the darkness and silence to make way for a world as ancient as magical. During the first part of the visit, which is mainly conducted walking and does not require any specific swimming level, you will understand the deep relationships that link the Mayan civilization and the jungle to the majestic Cenotes. In the last part, we will have the opportunity to swim, relax and snorkel in a fantastic and out of this world natural pool.   We will recover from our emotions and share around a meal composed of local specialties cooked in the jungle on a fire pit. Akumal is the "Place of the Turtles" in the Mayan language. This sanctuary is a refuge and protected area for sea turtles. We are Martín and Melqui local guides, who grew up since we were children in this local community. It is a privilege for us to take you to snorkel and swim with white and green turtles, hopefully colorful fish, coral reef, rays, squid, and barracudas.
