Elegant tasteful apartment nice touches like dressing table with mirror storage baskets. Matching mugs my favourite colour too lol Appreciated the water and milk left for me. Felt like i could live there. Lovely security staff felt safe as a lone traveller. I would certainly recommend this apartment to friends and definitely stay again . Great place and great people. A decent trek to the main tourist drag but I think that's the idea. A local taxi should work out at no more than £0.30 just ask the guys how it works. Real friendly people too. Musa was a star

A break in a peaceful oasis. The villa is pleasant and welcoming as are Aliou and Cyril. We were a family with two children aged 5 and 1.5 years old. The discovery of turtles on the last day was a pleasant surprise. This interlude in the middle of the vegetation, by the water, is just perfect. The city center is within walking distance and the pier for the islands is at the end of the main street. Aliou is responsive and caring. There was a general power outage (not due to the owner) so more water... and Aliou quickly found us a solution and brought water to wash the bottles etc. We recommend it more and more and will come back if we are in the area. thanks again.

Imagine, if you will, traveling to a foreign country during a pandemic, arriving at the black of night, hassled by shady immigration officers, and having no local money. Absolute nightmare, but then swoops in the angels of mercy-Lorraine and Roy! They arranged for their driver to collect us from the airport, AND paid for our visa and airport security fee. We did reimburse them. (Note: Bring only British pounds or Gambian dalasi! No cards or USD accepted.) When we arrived at their place, Lorraine brought us food so we wouldn’t starve in the night. Then the next morning, she and Roy both greeted us with big smiles and friendly advice. The place is a dream!!! There is a lovely petite kitchen with all one needs for simple meals, a tiled shower with plenty of hot water, and two clean bedrooms with comfortable beds. The outside space is an oasis. They have created a slice of paradise complete with a large clean swimming pool, lounge areas, an honor bar, and a thatched roof gazebo. Lorraine and Roy are a wealth of information, and they are quite the adventurers. Ask Roy to tell you about their adventures of crossing the desert—before the days of mobile phones, GPS, or roads. Put it this way—you’d be a fool to stay anywhere else!

The apartment was splendid

It was a beautiful apartment and we loved the views of lush greenery. We loved watching the sunrise and the natural light that flooded the kitchen. The view of the moon at night was also gorgeous. The apartment was very clean.

We had a wonderful stay at Annick's place… everything was perfect! From the absolutely beautiful tropical garden, to the pool on the edge of which comfortable sunbeds are installed... and the house of course: impeccably clean thanks to the precious Marie, air conditioning very appreciated and very efficient in the bedrooms, perfectly equipped kitchen, bathrooms adjoining each room ... Annick's house is a real little oasis where it's good to rest, lounge and enjoy the joys of Senegal! Finally, communication with Annick was fluid and responsive, which is very appreciated when you are abroad!

I have stayed for a long period in one studio and can say that it has been perfect for my time. Mostly because of Mr Babz and his family’s family warm hospitality and helpfulness. Communication has been excellent. Any small issues were quickly and conscientiously resolved and the compact accommodation is very clean and comfortable. Although the location is away from the centre of activities but close to the airport, if you want an authentic feel for Gambia in bright, modern accommodation, with laundry service and air conditioning, that is excellent value for money (there are many overpriced and poor quality vacation places close to the beaches), and with a very hospitable, communicative host and family, I really recommend a stay at Babz’s studios.
