We'll start off with some basic rules, how to actively participate and what we might hopefully find. Having done that, you will join me in the activity which will last approximately 2 hours. You might experience the slight humidity of Singapore but other than that, we emphasise on safety and this is definitely suitable for all ages! We will be using our senses to pick out the creatures of the night. You will be able to learn from us how to appreciate the tranquil sounds of the forest, identify quirky insects and learn how to spot one yourself!. There are tonnes of critters around the walking paths and they offer a fantastic introduction to Singapore's hidden wildlife ; fruit bats, owls, forest ants, roosting birds, quirky bugs, different species of frogs, large snails, snakes, scorpions and plenty more! This is an immersive activity and as such, guests have to actively participate together. I cannot guarantee sightings/animals but we will try! We will teach you the basics of Mahjong (the game seen on Crazy Rich Asians!), and you will then learn by experiencing and playing on your own, with guidance. Do not worry if you do not know how to read Chinese characters, the mahjong tiles are very pictorial and a guide sheet will be provided for you to use as reference in identifying the tiles. You will also get to recognise some Chinese characters (especially the numbers) along the way! At the end of the session, you will understand the scene from Crazy Rich Asians like a pro. IMPORTANT! Choosing a colour and making your own terrazzo flakes 2. Crafting your moulds with terrazzo flakes 3. Mix and Pour 4. You will enjoy 10+ foodie tastings in 6 hours across 4 districts of Singapore. Start your food tour in the East Coast Area of Singapore. Learn about the early Chinese immigrants to Singapore. The focus will be on food but we will also talk about the types of jobs that they had, how they lived and who they married. In this district, we will enjoy a selection of Singapore’s favourite foods with Chinese and Peranakan heritage including Kaya Toast and Kopi, Bak Chang, Kuehs and Laksa. Next,​ we travel to the Old Airport Road Hawker Centre, a firm favourite amongst Singaporeans. Here we try two of three distinctly Singaporean dishes, Hokkien Mee, Rojak and Carrot Cake. Our next stop is Kampong Glam, the centre of the Malay community. We will discuss the history of the district and we will try the most popular local foods from the Malay and Arabic communities. Having established itself as one of the cocktail capitals of the world the city is bristling with speakeasies at every corner. I shall help navigate your legs and tastebuds on an adventure of flavour, sights, and sounds. We will be hitting up at least 3 bars maybe more depending on the group and time. Other things to note You will get 1 drink per bar included as part of the tour. But you can purchase additional drinks if you choose to. You can purchase food at the bars separately. Drinks in Singapore are expensive, especially at cocktail bars. Expect to pay between 28-35 SGD per drink including service charge and taxes for your additional drinks. The harbour boat tour on the catamaran begins around the Southern Islands. This is a part of Singapore that few people get to explore. You can choose to relax on a sunset cruise every Tuesday where the boat will drop anchor at St John’s Island and talk a little about Singapore's islands and their significance in maritime history. You spend some time here to relax and watch the sunset. On the cruise back, the boat will take you to see the magnificent evening view of Singapore’s city skyline before disembarking. Another option is to spend a relaxing Sunday morning cruise and have a quick stopover at Lazarus Island, where guests can disembark for a short 30-45 min walk on the island to visit the beach or check out some of the latest developments on the island, such as a container convenience store and glamping units for staycations. Alcoholic drinks can be purchased but we encourage you to bring your own. There is no corkage charge. Light snacks (steamed buns) will be provided on board. Unfortunately, we can NOT accommodate dietary restrictions so please do bring your own light snacks if you have food restrictions. Other things to note: This is a rain-or-shine event.
