Vacation rentals in Port Carlisle

Had a fabulous 2 nights at the cottage with my Mum. The cottage was cosy, warm and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed cooking a meal in one night and the other we drove 5 minutes to the local pub which served great food. We enjoyed 2 days hiking, the location was perfect for us. Coming back to a hot tub was the best feeling when you legs and feet are aching! The cottage it surrounded by fields and sheep, it was absolutely stunning. Amy was really helpful with any questions we had. Would highly recommend!

A really lovely accomodation that met our needs. Spacious caravan that easily accomodared 2 adults, 3 teenagers and 2 dogs. We felt at home there and it was really well equipped. The site where it is situated is idyllic and beautiful with lovely walks and beaches. We qould love to return for a longer stay to explore more of this beautiful piece of Scotland. We had a lovely 4-night stay at Teapot Cottage over Easter 2025. The property was clean, comfortable, and had everything our family of five needed. The location was peaceful and picturesque—perfect for a relaxing break. The hot tub was a highlight—clean and ready to enjoy on arrival which was great for unwinding in the evenings. Inside, everything was well-equipped, from the kitchen to the cosy living areas. Communication from the host, Lammisa, was excellent throughout. Clear instructions were provided, and she was quick to respond to any questions. We’d happily recommend this place to others and would definitely return for another family getaway. What a lovely place soon as you open the old wooden door. It was very clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfy I didn't want to get out. It was great for the dogs too, we will be staying there again. Kind regards Stephen

We had a fantastic time at Rockliffe, helped by sunshine all day long for a week! The hosts, Julian and Theo were very friendly and helpful, they even showed us around their beautiful garden! The bungalow is fabulous, clearly been recently renovated, with excellent facilities, cooker, washing machine, plenty of hot water etc. The beds were very comfortable. There is an outside covered area at the back of the bungalow, completely safe and ideal for leaving bikes, shoes etc. There is a large garden to use, with table for al fresco dining, and lovely lawn with garden chairs, mainly for sun bathing for us! The beach is a short walk away, and it was great to cool off after long hot days! Dave

A great find. Beautiful rural location and very easy parking. The cottage was spacious and very comfy with all you could want for a short or long stay. I really enjoyed staying here and there were some great walks available from the front door. Penelope was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely return.

We had a fantastic few days staying at the Wigwam. It was clean and very spacious and had everything we needed for our family of 4. The location was perfect, right on the beach and a short distance from the main centre and shop. Susan was very responsive with any quiestions we had. We will definitely return :)

This is a great place. We could’ve done with longer - struck gold with the weather so didn’t use the leisure facilities as much as we might have. Really well placed for visiting Keswick and Penrith. Whinlatter Forest took us about 30 mins to get to - great for walks, bikes, cafe.
