We truly enjoyed our stay at Fernando’s. The home is calm and welcoming, with creative touches and artwork that made it feel personal and unique. The garden was a lovely spot to relax. Our dogs felt right at home too, each finding a favourite spot—either on the cool kitchen floor or stretched out in the sun. Fernando was a very kind and attentive host who made sure we had everything we needed (and more). We got great tips, including the nearby train to Porto, which was easy and stress-free. We encountered a few free-roaming dogs in the village, which was new to us, but it went fine. A short drive took us to beautiful beaches, which made the dogs (and us) very happy! The area isn’t busy with restaurants or nightlife, but that’s what we appreciated—a nice place, and the option to explore towns, cities, and the Douro Valley. It was a restful, memorable stay, and we’d gladly return.

We had a wonderful stay! The place is extremely pleasant, with a cozy atmosphere and very well taken care of. We found everything clean and organized, plus we have at your disposal all amenities for a comfortable stay. We greatly thank the Hosts for their friendliness, kindness and attention throughout our stay! Definitely a place we recommend!

Carola and her husbands place was amazing. It’s just beautiful, there are literal figs and avacado trees, gardens, a pool over looking the coast, just great! Sparkly clean. Large place too. Carola was excellent about communication, accommodating our late check in. One of the blinds was broken; once told it was fixed by the afternoon. A nice quiet location, safe, good to explore Porto and the north Portugal area. 5/5 will stay here again!
