The house is absolutely wonderful and incredibly cozy. There’s ample space for everyone to sit comfortably, unlike other places where you find beds for seven but only a small sofa for two. The abundance of indirect lighting throughout the house creates such a warm atmosphere, and the fireplace heats the space quickly while adding to the overall cozy feeling. The view is simply breathtaking! The house was equipped with everything we needed, and the jacuzzi after a long day of hiking was pure bliss. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

After a stormy crossing, we reached Gala in the most beautiful sunshine, a short dispute with the Norwegian castle, then we immediately felt at home. We had seven beautiful cross-country tours in changing sunny-cold weather and a bit of fresh snow. The cabin was always homely and warm. We would have almost stayed forever. Now, unfortunately, everyday life has come back to us. Thank you Marianne

We enjoyed the lovely house with a super nice decor, everything was present and enjoyed the beautiful view! Felt very welcome and very nice that Geir&Elin responded quickly when we contacted. Just behind the house you can take a nice walk to the shelter, where you can enjoy the fantastic views. Good location to explore from Rondane. It is a cottage that we definitely recommend and would like to return to.

Very nice two houses. Everything works, it was warm and cozy. We used the fireplace every day - it was very nice to sit in the comfortable chairs in front of the fire. There is always a hot jacuzzi waiting for you outside. It is especially nice to climb into the jacuzzi after a day of skiing, also nearby.

We had a pleasant stay in Gålå. We enjoyed sauna, whirlpool and the close access to the groomed cross country ski tracks.

The house was beautiful and felt very homely. It was easy to settle in as it was clean with all necessities available. The area around was amazing with great views and a nice friendly neighbourhood. With a ski slope outside the house, we were never bored and had lots of fun! A great place to spend some time at Christmas! The owners were very friendly and rresponded quickly to our every query. We would happy return once again :)

Fantastic cabin located in a very peaceful setting in the forest, but with a close commute to nearby farms and Vinstra. The place has everything you might need, including a very nice fireplace. The cabin is very lovely.

Martin was a great host, proactive and helpful communication! Had a flexible check-in, everything we needed was there. Wood to heat the cottage, hot water and a coffee machine! We enjoyed the snowy area for hiking! Recommendable!

This is the second time we have borrowed the cabin and would love to come back a third time. Cozy old cabin with a nice view of Rondane and modern amenities in the annex. Incidentally, good charging options for electric cars below the (currently closed) high mountain hotel right next to the cabin.

The two of us spent a week in the cozy Ekornhytta and felt comfortable from the first moment! The house is very well equipped (also for more people), window view of the lake, fireplace and sauna provide the Norwegian feel-good atmosphere. In the area around the house, there are many hiking trails, bike paths and cross-country trails with great views of Rondane and beyond. And the squirrel is not a marketing gimmick, it actually passed by at its feeding station. :-) Communication with Sandra and Stine as hosts is straightforward and fast!

We had an absolutely amazing honeymoon with Ingrid's cabin as a starting point. Primitive luxury can best describe it. Without 220v electricity and running water, but at the same time far above our expectations. We were happy from start to finish. Particularly charming details include: 1) Location high on the mountain, secluded from the outside world, but accessible in a regular car (VW Lupo). 2) The view of Rondane was absolutely stunning. 3) Outdoor shower with plenty of hot water. 4) Open fireplace + wood-burning stove. 5) Driving distance to shopping center in Otta (15 min), Rondane National Park (25 min), Jotunheimen National Park (1.5 hours) and Lom (1 hour).

I really nice cabin in a really nice location! Mats was a great host always responding very quickly and providing good inspiration for trips and things to do in the area!

We have had a nice weekend at Oddmund's cabin and in beautiful Rondane. The cabin is in a nice location, and has everything you might need. Very clean and tidy, and a helpful and pleasant host. Absolutely great!

We are two Danish couples on a ski vacation. We think the cabin is just perfect. Nicely decorated, spacious, very well equipped and with a great view of Ruten Fjeld, Fefor Fjeld and Jotunheimen in the distance. It's a really cozy cabin with a fireplace for cool evenings and a terrace for the sunny days. It is very easy to get up to the large network of trails from the cabin. Christian is a great host-there's great instruction for the cabin's technicalities, and he responds quickly if there are any questions. thank you for a lovely holiday Annette, Johan, Jette and Henrik

We had the most amazing time in Jan's & Siri's cabin. The view is absolutely stunning! The cabin is water side and has an unobstructed view of Rondane National Park. You can hike, go on the lake with a boat or do a bike tour. The outdoor options are endless. The cabin itself is freshly renovated to a very high standard. Everything is looks cozy and old, but is brand new. You have floor heating in the bathroom and the small living room. The windows, the floor, the walls, the room, everything is brand new or meticulously renovated. The two living rooms allow you to get some distance from your friends, if you need it, and the couches are cozy enough to take a quick nap… I tried. The Wi-Fi is fast, and you have 5G everywhere, so you can always make your friends jealous on social media. There is a small shop nearby that bakes its own bread and carries the basics. We had the most wonderful time and will certainly be back. Thank you so much for having us!

What a beautiful house. Very spacious, cozy and luxurious. We had nice weather and were able to enjoy the lovely terrace a lot. We also saw a moose on one of these evenings, very special. Rondane is a beautiful area, very different from the rest of Norway. And the communication with Ola was very fast and pleasant. Really a place to come back to!

We were two families with a total of 4 children, and we had a cozy Easter holiday at Gålå. The cabin was clean, modern and cozy - Camilla had also provided a nice welcome/Easter greeting in the form of goodies and flowers 😊 What we needed of amenities, the location, layout and the decor was spot on. Camilla always responded kindly and quickly and we can definitely recommend the place to others 👍🏻

This was amazing! Such a beautiful hut with a very peaceful view. Simple but great facilities, easy hiking paths just in front of the house. Highly recommend staying here for a couple of days. Take food up so you dont have to go down, and enjoy the bubble!
