We had a 3 week stay and it was just fabulous! The balcony is the best part of the house. The view from balcony is much much better than what you get to see in pictures. We kept thinking if we could extend our stay. No one in my family felt like going back. House has great positive vibes! Bushra is truly an awesome host. She was always available for almost all the things whenever required during our 3 week stay! I certainly want to go back and stay in the same house in near future. If u want to stay away from hustle bustle of the city yet close to move around by car and see all the tourist place then this is the place to be in! When there were some construction works going on in the premises, effort was made to minimise the trouble caused to my stay. Firstly, the property has simply the best view of Bhimtal Lake. It's a beautiful place where you can spend time with your loved ones. The rooms also are facing the lake . The host is very helpful and friendly. It felt like home. As I am a local here I visit different properties but the Pencil House is one of the best property that I have been to in Bhimtal. Harsh bhaiyya is an excellent host! He is well spoken, kind-hearted and always ready to help! The homestay is just 10 minutes downhill of the snow view point! And it gives the most beautiful view of the Nainital lake and the mountains. Evening sunset view of the Nainital is a must and can't be missed from this beautiful homestay! Harsh bhaiyya is very helpful and treats you like your family. He came to pick us up from the city and even helped drop us and our luggage off on request! The food at the homestay is very tasty and feels just like home! Rooms are very spacious, with warm blankets, and cosy places available outside the homestay for sitting and enjoying the nature and scenic views! All in all, an excellent host and a beautiful homestay! Looking forward to visiting again soon :))

The host was veryyy nice. She was always there whenever I required help. The place was clean and comfortable. The view was also beautiful. I have no complaints with the place or the host or the services. Only one recommentation to the guests, this place is 10kms away from Nainital so if you are planning to commute by bike and with females then I will advice you to book a place near to Nainital.

Located conveniently, it took only 35 minutes to reach Neem Karoli Dham, 20 minutes to Bhimtal, and 45 minutes to Nainital. The Mall Road restricts taxi movement, so look for bike taxis to move around the property; bike taxis are easily spotable. 2. For food, there are many restaurants nearby; try Anupam on Mall Road for Kumaoni cuisine
